5 out of 5 eggsExactly what I needed

Pros: Works perfectly. Easy to install. It allows you to connect two 3-pin fans to one header on the motherboard.

Cons: None.

5 out of 5 eggsGood

Pros: These are good Y-splitters. They function. Buy them.

Cons: None.

Other Thoughts: These are good at being splitters? I guess? How in-depth can this review be? Buy them.

4 out of 5 eggsUseful but touchy

Pros: Plenty of length to allow me to run a side and rear case fan off the same mobo header. Mobo header connector fit firmly so no worries of it backing out.

Cons: The connectors for the fans are a different story. Although they allowed the fan to connect easily, the terminal pins inside the connectors pushed out the back. I found that the small lock tabs on the terminals were collapsed which required a small adjustment using the tip of an exacto knife.

Other Thoughts: While I find the build quality on the connector side to be sub par, after some work this splitter does what it should. Although a novice to wiring work would be seriously annoyed with this, I do it at work on most days anyway so I only took one egg off.

4 out of 5 eggsWorks Perfect

Pros: -For what it is, it's fairly cheap
-Works exactly as designed

Cons: -Wished the cables were black, or sleeved, but obviously you can see the color of them in the pics

Other Thoughts: -Just ordered another one of these, so if I came back to get another, they're worth it

5 out of 5 eggsAlright I guess,

Pros: It's a cable.

Cons: -Price I guess? It's a bit expensive, and a lot of fans that include one of these cost almost the same.
-The locking mechanism on the female end doesn't really unlock. I broke one when I plugged into the wrong fan and had to unplug it. It still works without it, but it could disconnect any day and I would have to open up my PC again.

5 out of 5 eggs3-pin fan Y-Cable

Pros: It can serve as a decent extension cable to boot. Two fans anywhere in your case can connect to the same fan header anywhere on your motherboard, so if you know a bit about cable management you can make things easier on yourself. Also, it actually works as a splitter too. Can't forget that.

Cons: The length can backfire on you as it is an extra foot of cable to manage. The cables aren't braided or sleeved so it's possible to get a little bit careless and make a mess.

A bit expensive for one cable, really. Easy enough to make one yourself but I was ordering $1100 worth of parts anyway.

Remember that this isn't a PWM splitter so depending on your motherboard, the CPU fan header might not appreciate using a 3-pin splitter. Best to go with a nice 4-pin instead.

Other Thoughts: With one of these and one other splitter, I managed to get 7 fans running off 5 headers on a motherboard. One of them had to be PWM for the CPU but the other was just a generic 3-pin. Works well!
