2 out of 5 eggsTerrible

Pros: It was yellow when they arrived?

Paid ($1.98 a piece.) So no real loss.

Cons: None of the cables would give throughput of 1000Mb/s.

Once cable did not work at all.

Other Thoughts: I usually buy my cables through a-zon but I figured I would snag some here. Makes me leary. But won't keep my from trying again, just not these!

1 out of 5 eggsall defective!

Pros: well, its a cable

Cons: bought 18 of them, every single one was defective, running at 100mb instead of 1gb. Couldn't imagine that the whole batch would be defective so of course it took us ages to discover that the cable where the problem, by which time Newegg refused to take them back.

1 out of 5 eggsBAD BAD BAD!

Pros: NONE!

Cons: Ordered 7 cables - ONE worked. HORRIBLE quality, boots are so stiff you need to use pliers to unplug them.

Other Thoughts: IRONICALLY the two 14' versions I ordered from the same manufacturer are fine.

1 out of 5 eggsJunk

Pros: Could use as a rope to tie something up with.

Cons: If it will not connect at 1 Gbit/sec. Most of the time it will not allow 1 Gbit/sec hardware to connect at all. On 10/100 Mbit/sec hardware it will usually will connect. The cover to prevent snagging is so hard, somethimes I can not unplug the cable without using a screwdriver to pry the latch lever on the plug. Wire is stiff compared to the BYTECC cables which all allowed the 1 Gbit/sec hardware to connect at 1 Gbit/sec. Unfortunately, I did not by the same lengths to replace the Link Depot.

Other Thoughts: I ended up making the 7 foot cables out of the Cat 5 cable I got at Lowes in bulk. They actually allow the hardware to connect at 1 Gbit/sec even though the cable is not rated for it. Link Depot must use some junk for wire.

1 out of 5 eggsDoes not work on 1 Gbps

Pros: Works on 100 Mbps.

Cons: Will not connect to 1 Gbps devices. Would not even fall back to 100 Mpbs. Some devices the connectivity light would blink other devices no connectivity light at all. Even if connectivity light blinked, no data could be transmitted. Connected other cables bought at same time and they all work perfectly. I bought 7 of these cables and tried 5, and none of them would work. All others (1 ft, 3 ft, 5 ft, 14 ft and 50 ft worked. These 7 foot Link Depot cables would not work. The 14 ft was also a Link Depot cabe and it worked. All others were Bytecc and they all worked.

Other Thoughts: OK if you are only going to connect 100 Mbps devices.

1 out of 5 eggsGarbage

Pros: none

Cons: Bought a bunch of these, couple were busted right out of the box, the rest are not to spec: does not transmit at 1Gbps, not shielded as it suppose to be

Other Thoughts: look elsewhere

5 out of 5 eggsIt's a cable....

Pros: It transmits network traffic just fine. Nothing special.

Cons: None.

Other Thoughts: Picked up a couple just to see if the CAT5e cables were causing problems connecting at gigabit speeds. Turns out it was the switch. Still using the new cables anyway, they work great.
