2 out of 5 eggsAnnoying Molded Ends

Pros: Nice insulation, pleasing color...

Cons: The molded end is made of a fairly hard plastic making it almost impossible to depress far enough to disengage the plastic tab. My case design exacerbated this problem, requiring a screwdriver to apply enough force in the right spot. Smashing it by hand several times softened up (or rather, fatigued) the rubber/plastic enough to alleviate the problem.

Also, my particular cable won't link up at >100Mb/s; other cables (from other vendors) in the same shipment work fine at 1G, so it's going in the trash.

5 out of 5 eggsITS A CABLE

Pros: Rugged, thick, high-quality fasteners - you can tell it isn't made cheaply; it's like a Harley. Performed as advertised getting full gigabit speeeds (this thing is cat6).

Cons: If you need to route around corners, such as a door jamb, you can't do so easily, without damaging the integrity of the cable. Do not buy this if you are going to run around corners more than 25 degrees. Otherwise, this is one awesome cable.

Other Thoughts: It's thick and heavy duty, don't buy it if you need to hide it or need to get too creative.

4 out of 5 eggs25ft cat6 cable

Pros: good price. serves purpose. the cable jacketing is heavy and rigid.

Cons: the cable jacketing is heavy and rigid. this makes it heavy and difficult to uncoil.

Other Thoughts: If you want a cable that will stand up to people walking on it and continuously handaling it, this one is for you. if your looking for something that will be easy to handle and run for a one time installation application, go with something with a thinner and more flexable jacketing.

5 out of 5 eggsAwesome

Pros: Does what it is supposed to. Not expensive.

Cons: None!

Other Thoughts: Not many people realize the difference between Cat5, Cat5e and Cat6. Cat5 Operates @ 100MHz hence only enabling 100mbps. Cat5e operates @ 250-350MHz enabling Gigabit... 1 way. Each pair operating @ 250MHz x 4 pair = 1000MHz = 1000Mbps. 1 way, not full duplex. Cat6 operates @ 550MHz enabling full 1000Mbps BOTH ways. And since according to 802.3 standards, Ethernet operates @ 10, 100, 1000, and 10,000Mbps, nowhere in between. If you aren't getting 1000mbps, you aren't getting more than 100Mbps. Hope this clears anything up :)

Watch out for fake Cat6 operating @ 250MHz!!!

Pros: Great cables, great price, shielding is heavy and thick.

Cons: As everyone says, most good cables are difficult to disconnect because the clips are covered.
