5 out of 5 eggs4pin to 8 pin

Pros: $1.60 and free shipping

Cons: none

Other Thoughts: Only reason I needed this "adapter" is because my new case has a bottom mounted power supply compared to my old top mounted case - in my new case the power supply 4pin cpu cable wouldn't reach the socket on my motherboard - i could have just used some extra wire and solder to increase the length a few cms, but for $1.60 including shipping this was the lazy man's solution.

5 out of 5 eggsWorked to convert "old" PSU

Pros: Used this to mate an "old" style Antec PSU with the 4 pin ATX12V CPU power connector and a new Gigabyte mobo with the 8 pin EPS12V CPU connector.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: Researched if the the EPS12V 8 pin connector from the PSU is really required - didn't find much. My build used a low power CPU and it did power up with only the 4 pin ATX12V connected to 4 of the 8 pins on the Mobo so I probably didn't need this, but I used it anyway.

5 out of 5 eggsWorks

Pros: Works perfect as advertised. Was able to use my old 650W PSU in my new build that had an 8 pin slot with no issue. The adapter also secures well, so you know it is connected.

Cons: None so far.

Other Thoughts: Great way to not need to buy a new PSU for a new build/Upgrade !

3 out of 5 eggsit worked OK

Pros: Powered up a low end graphics card. Maybe a 18 amp card.

Cons: Cost too much for the old molex fashion and relatively cheesy build.

I think about $1.99 would be a stretch shipped.

Other Thoughts: Hadda have it.

5 out of 5 eggsGood

Pros: - Converted 4pin CPU power connector from power supply to 8pin CPU power connector to motherboard.
- It hasn't shorted out

Cons: - None

Other Thoughts: Purchased to accommodate an older PSU which did not have an 8pin CPU power connector.
