4 out of 5 eggsNo wiring diagram

Pros: Fast install.

Cons: No wiring diagram. Not standard. I installed mine backwards the first time. Down one egg.

Other Thoughts: What Techrat said about the layout of the wires and how to install. A penny for a piece of paper with the wiring setup shown so I didn't have to reinstall the plugs.

5 out of 5 eggsUSB Bracket

Pros: It works with no problems, Adds a couple ports

Cons: Just as others as said, Make sure and use a screw even if your case is tool less and I wish it was a 10 pin block header instead of the two 5 headers but it works and this is minor complaints because I am sure someone is out there with a motherboard that is glad that this uses two of the 5 headers.

Other Thoughts: Good product and NewEgg as always is awesome

5 out of 5 eggsUSB Bracket Works

Pros: Installed easily and it worked perfectly. For some reason the length of the cable is not mentioned in the specs. I measured it at 10 inches and it easily reached my MB USB pins. If you have USB pins on your MB that are not being used this is a great way to add some more USB 2.0 ports.

Cons: If you need to reach more than 10 inches to your MB USB pins this will come up short.

5 out of 5 eggsTips for those looking to get

Pros: Very study.

Cons: Doesn't use the standard 10 pin block header. (two 5x1 blocks) Wiring is standard otherwise.

Other Thoughts: As others suggested, if you have an ATX style case, you'll probably want to unscrew and flip both ports so that the keyed alignment is the same for any other horizontal ports on your case.

Tip for those who don't know how to plug the separate 1x5 pin headers into a 10 pin (9 with one missing) header onto the motherboard:

Take both blocks, align so that the red ends are together and the black (ground) ends are together. Tape or tiestrap the block together.

Red go to pins 1 and 2. The missing keypin (pin 9) is where the black wires exist on the block. Align the black end to the missing pin on the motherboard and you're set.

. . . . . <--- Your pin layout
. . . .

R W G B B <--- The order BOTH columns go.
R W G B b

(Lowercase b is where the missing pin is)

The second black wire at the end of each 5x1 block is NO CONNECT. So again, align the black wires at the end to the missing pin on the motherboard.

5 out of 5 eggsSolid Construction

Pros: Extremely high build quality. I was shocked at the thickness of the steel plate and how solid the ports feel. can definitely handle a lot of abuse and not bend/break/flex the ports.

Cons: Shipping was a wee bit high for the item but i got free shipping on the rest of my items so worked itself out.

Other Thoughts: If you need a solid part for a solid case that can take some abuse and still work this is the part to go for. I plan to purchase 2 more later to utilize my remaining headers.

5 out of 5 eggsgood to go

Pros: plug in and go, nothing to worry about

Cons: none

Other Thoughts: MABYE, you may want to unscrew and flip over the USB sockets, but that's only if you got an odd USB device to plug in.

5 out of 5 eggsIt is what it is.

Pros: Its a bracket. It replaces a vacant PCI slot bracket with two USB 2.0 ports. It plugs directly into the motherboard. It works.

Cons: None. I had trouble keeping it in place, but that is more of an issue with my tool-free case. If you are using a tool-free case, screw in the bracket anyways.

5 out of 5 eggsIt works

Pros: Not much to say here - it works, and the quality is adequate. It is easy to turn the connectors 180 degrees so they comply with the orientation of my existing connectors. The length of the wires is about right.

Cons: None.
