SIIG's DisplayPort to VGA adapter is designed for connecting the latest DisplayPort-equipped computer systems with analog VGA monitors to provide optimal video quality. It comes with 20-pin DisplayPort (male) to 15-pin VGA (female) connectors and quad-shielded cable with PVC jacket for maximum video performance and prevention of signal loss. The DisplayPort to VGA Adapter is the cost-effective tool to allow your DisplayPort-equipped desktop or notebook system to work with your existing VGA monitor saving you the cost of upgrading your display device.

The DisplayPort to VGA adapter delivers video bandwidth of up to 5.7 Gb/s and offers up to 5.4 Gb/s over two lanes. It supports HDTV resolutions of 480i, 576i, 480p, 576p, 1080i, and 1080p, PC VGA, SVGA, XGA, SXGA and UXGA display modes, and HDCP (High-bandwidth Digital Content Protection) on HDCP compliant VGA displays. It is also fully compliant with DisplayPort 1.1 specification and backed by SIIG's limited lifetime warranty.

Dave L. 1/14/2013 5:26:48 PM Ownership: 3/5 Verified Owner	Rating: 2/5worked for a while This review is from: SIIG CB-DP0082-S1 DisplayPort to VGA Adapter Cable Pros: It worked right out of the box Cons: After about a month it quit displaying, but was still detected by the motherboard as a second monitor. Other Thoughts: I put it on a box I built for my wife entirely from Newegg. She uses a VGA KVM switch for dual monitors with several PCs. The Asrock motherboard had VGA, DVI-D, HDMI, and Displayport. I chose the displayport to use along with the VGA out since DVI-D would not work with the DVI to VGA adapters I already had. When it quit working I just put an old video card with dual DVI in her box and used a couple DVI to VGA adapters. I doubt I'll even try sending the part back. Too much trouble.
