Velocity component video interconnects by Impact Acoustics will improve the performance of your progressive scan video sources by providing a much better interconnect solution than the "throw away" cables that are included with most consumer electronics products. The oxygen-free copper center conductor and foamed PE dielectric work to maintain 75-ohm characteristic impedance. The dual braided oxygen-free copper shields and aluminum foil sheath offer protection from environmental noise and interference. Robustly constructed using color-coded molded connectors that attach to an ultra-flexible jacket, Velocity cables are the epitome of easy installation and identification. 24K gold plated heavy-duty connectors ensure long-lasting, highly conductive signal connections.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat product, great price

Pros: Very good quality cables at an affordable price. I only needed 3 foot cables to go from my DVD player to my TV and these did the trick perfectly. These cables gave me a very noticeable improvement in picture quality over the S-Video connection I was using before. I highly recommend them if you're looking for an inexpensive way to improve the picture quality of your video set up.

Cons: These cables are a bit stiff, but it shouldn't be a problem unless you try and bend the cables at an extreme angle near the RCA connections.

Other Thoughts: HDMI is not an option for me. My video set up is probably considered almost old school now, a DVD player hooked up to a CRT TV. At least these cables will give me a darn nice picture until I can afford to upgrade the whole entertainment rig to Blu-Ray and LCD.

5 out of 5 eggsSlightly stiff but they work great

Pros: I needed something that wasn't too long because the distance between my PC and TV was very short and I hate extra wires. This worked great. The connectors hold firm and they are color coded correctly.

Cons: Cable is slightly stiff. Not really a con. Just takes some bending.

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Difficult to get excited about cables, but with a mid-range DVD player and TV, they're giving me a good picture.

Cons: Who makes BLUE cables?

5 out of 5 eggsNice cables

Pros: They're cables.

Cons: Maybe a little short, but I won't deduct eggs for that.

Other Thoughts: Hooked them up to my DVD and TV and all is good. I was afraid they'd be too short, but they turned out to be just the right length for me. The image quality is crisp and clear.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Cable Buy

Pros: These cables are not stiff and I've got a HTPC in an HDTV table also stuffed with a reciever, DVD, CD, etc. Also the 36" cables are rare and essential to reduce an impossible wad of wire to a managagible arrangement.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: For 20' to 100'runs, better cable is a must; for 3', buy these.

4 out of 5 eggsNice Cables

Pros: Nice firm connectors. Good price.

Cons: Cables are a bit stiff. The stiffness makes it a bit hard to nicely hide them behind my components.
