3 out of 5 eggsdesent product

Pros: did what i needed it to do.

Cons: Gives a very grainy picture, and to even make it fit i had to use a pocket knife to cut part of the rubber off so it would make a proper connection.

Other Thoughts: Wish I could afford a TV with PC inputs, or even s-video inputs but alas i have to use RCA

4 out of 5 eggsHandy

Pros: Does what it's supposed to. Now I can connect my new laptop to my old TV. A fraction of the price retail store sell it at.

Cons: The designers didn't fully test the physical dimensions. On some devices the S-video connector doesn't fit far enough into it, but it's made out of soft plastic so nothing a pocket knife won't solve. Shipping is expensive for something so small.

Other Thoughts: Blue? Black or yellow would look better and make more sense.

4 out of 5 eggsGreat Product

Pros: I plugged it into my laptop, sent a cable (not included) from it to my TV, and suddenly all my messy homebrew stuff was useless. This little thing is very, very handy and so far the quality has been outstanding, even with higher resolutions.

Cons: "You get what you pay for," luckily, hasn't reared it's ugly head on picture quality, but the hardware itself has been put together a bit quickly. The s-video connection seems to be imprecisely sized, so while it fits, it just doesn't fit like the more expensive connections. It won't break any time soon, but I imagine those of us who have a bit of weight on the cord, this could bend something or the connector could fall out.

Other Thoughts: Black might have been a better color choice.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Little Adapter

Pros: This is definitely an awesome little adapter produced fuzzy lines when I connected it to a normal T.V. with cheap RCA cable. Bought a longer cable and just like that problem solved no quality issues!

Cons: None really

Other Thoughts: This adapter produces fuzzy lines that go up the screen when connected to an HDTV but I expected that (and they are hardly noticeable anyways) but meh an S-video cable will fix that

5 out of 5 eggsCheap way to use an old TV

Pros: Cheap, this thing does exactly what it's advertised to do, convert an S-Video output to RCA.

Cons: As others have stated the S-Video end of the converter is a bit short, plugs into my laptop fine but is a bit loose. This product ships from a different location, couldn't reduce the shipping fee with some other items I bought along with it.

Other Thoughts: I have a TV that has only the coaxial input plus 1x RCA input which has only the yellow and white plugs (yes it's an really old TV), and now with this converter I was able to hook up my laptop to the TV and watch videos on it, a cheap way around for a solution.

2 out of 5 eggs

Pros: The exact size capacitor in the adapter corrected some video errors I was receiving on my TV with a make-shift setup.

Cons: The sleeve on the s-video end is too short or the casing is too large as the adapter will not fit into certain video cards. If your s-video output jack is sunken, this adapter will not work.
