Pros: I bought these because they were longer in length than other cables. Works great.

Other Thoughts: Would recommend

Pros: It provides much needed Native LPT support, if you use an LPT/printer Dongle to unlock software this is what you need, I have a Rainbow dongle that uses a Sentinel Parallel driver 32bit/64bit and it runs great.

Cons: None, I had difficulties with the part because I'm mentally special.

Other Thoughts: I have tried PCI/USB based LTP port cards and they don't work, this does.

I was going to RMA the hardware because the LPT dongle did not work, after hours and hours of strategic tactical operational analysis of the said hardware I came to the conclusion that the cable connected to the motherboard was plugged in the wrong way.

Pros: Well built and does what it should

Cons: The ribbon cable is only 11 inches long my not fit all cases

Pros: Biggest pro was that Newegg has it in inventory

Cons: It was a slightly tight squeeze to install on my obo with a giant 460GTX video card but if that's more on me. The cable length made it possible. Had it been 2 inches shorter it probably would not of fit.

This is more of a comment than a con.

Other Thoughts: Might want to measure the distance from your header to a opening where you intend on installing the cable interface.

Pros: It works fine with an old parallel Zip 100 drive.
The port doesn't cave in much when the cable is plugged in.

Cons: Unrelated: I had something like this but a pin was blocked in the connector.

Other Thoughts: In this case (CM690-II basic, pun intended), it is quite stable. If you need to use an old Zip drive or something on a new mobo which has a header for the parallel port (but not built-in), you can get this.

Make sure you have a header like this before buying. If you don't, go grab a PCI to Parallel card.

@ the MSI 880GM-E41 guy: You don't have a parallel header on your motherboard, from what I can see. You need a PCI card with a parallel port on it.

Pros: I believe this is a quality product, based on its performance, installation and looks. My printer works just as well as it did with past motherboards of mine that had built-in parallel ports. I think the cable length is just right, also. Basically auto installation in WinXP, too.

Cons: None.

Other Thoughts: Works fine, as I hoped. I bought this for my Gigabyte GA-EP45T-USB3P which has an LPT port on the board. You plug this adapter into that port, and you're ready to use your favorite parallel port printer.

Pros: Good craftsmanship - just won't work on my mainboard!!

Cons: None!

Other Thoughts: The description says, "Compatible with most brands of motherboards and I/O cards," but it won't fit an MSI 880GM-E41!
