Will never hotplug into a USB port and work. Other Thoughts: This Cable to Go ps/2 to USB keyboard adapter is worthless. I have an IBM 1990 keyboard and this adapter cable was hit and miss. If I booted up with it plugged in, then it might work but often didn't work. If I just plugged it into the USB port, the computer would never see my keyboard. BUT THIS WORKED FOR ME: GWC UA-270 (UA270) USB A Male to PS/2 Female Adapter http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16812224031 This other device has some electronics in it and my IBM keyboard works 100%.
