Extension Cable Model 25211 - Retail Pros: I needed a short length of serial cable between a USB serial adapter and a null modem adapter. The two adapters had the correct male/female 9-pin connectors but only female connectors for the fastening pins. The serial cable had male fastening connectors on each end to connect everything together nice and tight. Cons: A shorter cable would have worked just as well. Did you find this review helpful? Pros: I needed a short length of serial cable between a USB serial adapter and a null modem adapter. The two adapters had the correct male/female 9-pin connectors but only female connectors for the fastening pins. The serial cable had male fastening connectors on each end to connect everything together nice and tight.

Cons: A shorter cable would have worked just as well.
