5 out of 5 eggswow!

Pros: I have been extremely impressed with this product. I've owned it for a long time, and never had a single issue with it. I've experienced no signal degradation, and had no issues with connection dropping. Automatically switches to most recently activated input when a new device is turned on. Remote actually has good range, though it is fairly line-of-sight operational. Device is small and easy to setup (plug-and-play).

Cons: Power LED is pretty bright...I covered it to better conceal the switch. Feels light and cheap, but I haven't had any issues (although I never move it).

Other Thoughts: For what I paid I couldn't be happier.

5 out of 5 eggsExcellent little device

Pros: Works just as they mention and you dont even need a remote. It will switch automatically for you. I have an xbox 360, ps3, blue ray player all plugged in to this.

Cons: none that I can find yet. It works just as I was hoping for.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Product

Pros: Works great right out of package. Easy to use and set up.

Cons: One more thing to plug in

Other Thoughts: This item has become a must-have in my life. It makes switching between electronics a dream. From my home theatre system, to my laptop, to my phone, and tablet. It all works great!!!

2 out of 5 eggsWorks mostly, NO PS3 VIDEO

Pros: It works without using power, even with the IR sensor attached
Small IR sensor, easy to hide
Intelligent switching is very nice nice
5 inputs

Cons: Even though it is stated that it works with a PS3 it does NOT. HDCP passthrough has a problem and you will get audio but no video. Practically makes it worthless for my situation. (Still works with Xbox 360 though)
Only up to 60Hz so you wont get a smooth framerate. If you have a tv with a higher than 60Hz refresh rate dont get this, not a con for me but it could be an issue for others.
Intelligent switching will not work with a device that always outputs a video signal, for example the VIP722K DVR from Dish.
You will probably want to hide the unit because of the port layout, it will look like a spider when you have everything hooked up.

Other Thoughts: After working with Masscool, who barely seemed to try to help with the PS3 problem, they want me to send it back for a replacement but I still have to pay return shipping, which is 1/3 the cost of the unit iteself. Not cool, if a product is defective it should not fall on the customer to pay for shipping for a replacement. If you have PS3 go with a REAL hdmi switch,
The design is a bit weird, you will want to hide it otherwise you will have a cable spider that everyone can see, 3 ports on front and 3 on back.

1 out of 5 eggsBuggy don't buy it

Pros: Newegg refunded it, even covered return shipping

Cons: This is a buggy item. In fact, I had already bought another one (much cheaper, but longer shipping time) from China on the site that rhymes with e-day that looked exactly like the one here, it came and I noticed that it was switching through the inputs periodically which was really annoying. I thought, OK, let me buy the more expensive branded one from newegg, hopefully that one will have the kinks ironed out. Unfortunately the one from newegg (this one, sold under the MASSCOOL brand) had exactly the same issue. I should have known better.

Other Thoughts: Possibly related to the levels on the video card's HDMI signal? I haven't hooked this up to the scope or tried to debug this issue further. I still have the one I got off e-day, if someone has an idea how to hack it to either get rid of the auto-cycling behaviour or improve the levels if that is the case, please comment.

2 out of 5 eggstrouble with Blu-Ray

Pros: my TV only has two HDMI ports and I have a BluRay, a combo VHS/DVD, a recorder, and a standard DVD

Cons: I thought BluRay players had a quality issue because after a few months the player would stop and the screen would go black. turning the player on and off worked. I repaired my first one and then bought a different brand name when the phenomenon happend again. I bought a refurb cheapie and it immediately had problems. I finally thought maybe it was the port and no it still did it. I finally plugged it into the HDMI directly and it worked fine. I feel dumb, in that I wasted money on a repair (modern electronics aren't really worth repairing), but I am happy I figured it out

Other Thoughts: nothing in the description says it supports BluRay.
I have since lost the paperwork so I would need to check with the manufacturer. but it definitely isn't compatible with three reputable brand name Bluray DVD players.

4 out of 5 eggsGreat Switch

Pros: Switches when the device you want is turned on. I think the size is wonderfull, easier to hide. Have not had the need for the remote yet.

Cons: Only problem that I had was when hooking up my blueray player through one of the inputs, the audio would randomly cutout. I solved the problem by hooking up my blueray player directly to the t.v. and and hooked everything else up through the inputs on the switch.

5 out of 5 eggsSuccess

Pros: Small automatic VHDL switch, Very Functional, No noticeable image degradation. Runs cool! Has remote IR receiver, so it can be hidden. Great price!

Cons: It is almost too small, so mounting can be a trick. Resorted to 2 sided autobody tape.

Other Thoughts: It avoided me purchasing another AV system, so the price was well worth it!
