Athena Power Model Cable-M84M84F 8" Extension & Conversion Four-In-One

Pros: Extends the 8pin connector in my case to make routing and cable management easier. Pretty hard to mess up something this simple.

Pros: Does just what it's supposed. I needed a longer cable to go into my mobo at the top because the standard one couldn't reach behind the motherboard and I didn't like having it go across the board.

Cons: none

Pros: Worked to allow me to connect an older power supply with a 4 pin CPU connector to the 8 pin connector on the ASRock H77M MB. The length was 8".

Cons: There was no instructions. I had to read the instructions from the picture here on newegg.

Other Thoughts: It worked for me, YMMV.

no computer power lags.
great cord Quality.
Numbers are easy to see.

Cons: shorter than I thought it would be.
this thing is only like 4 inch's long.
should have been 1 of those $2.99 cords not $4.99.
( almost basically useless)

still long enough to get the job done.
was running the pc on a very tight cord, almost impossible.
just needed to loosen it up.

Other Thoughts: This is the second one I have bought and not one issue

Pros: well built if you only need a 8 pin extension cable

Cons: 4 pin power is NOT spliced when used as a 4 pin psu, to 8 pin cpu power, motherboard converter, only 4 pins of 8 necessary will have power. exactly the same results as plugging your 4 pin psu directly into 8 pin socket

Other Thoughts: I have an older enermax 465 watt psu I want to reuse with a s775 evga 750i ftw and a Q9400 quad core that requires all 8 pins for the cpu to be powered this does not work for that purpose this item is two 4 pin extensions sleeved together, not spliced together in any way
