2 out of 5 eggs2 Rotten Eggs

Pros: It connects my old keyboard to my usb-only laptop.

Cons: Piece of junk! Lags and there is a delay from pressing a key to the response on the actual computer.

Other Thoughts: Avoid!

5 out of 5 eggsSolution to mouse problem

Pros: see below

Cons: see below

Other Thoughts: I think the mouse problem people have with this adapter is NOT due to this adapter; it is due to your KVM not maintaining continuous 5 volt USB power from any computer which is not currently switched on, to the KVM switch itself.

The fix I have works for Linux systems: before switching away from any Linux computer, if you first change away from the X-windows GUI system to any text-mode tty port 1-6, and then switch to the next computer with your KVM, you will discover that later, when you switch back to that Linux computer, and then change back to the X-windows GUI at tty port 7, the mouse should work properly.

The GUI change key combos are <Ctl><Alt><F1> thru <Ctl><Alt><F6> to leave X-windows GUI-mode, and change back to <Ctl><Alt><F7> after return to any Linux computer to re-enable X-windows GUI and have a WORKING MOUSE.

This does NOT fix M$ Windoze OSes.. sorry

4 out of 5 eggsFantastic

Pros: Fast response. Using it right now. Can use it for gaming as well. No issues with it at all.

Cons: None so far.

Other Thoughts: Very cheap price, shipping is a bit pricy, however, it's not too bad in the end.

1 out of 5 eggsKB works, absolutely no Mouse function

Pros: If you have a newer system without PS/2 ports and you want to input from two or more keyboards, you can use this adapter to convert from PS/2 KB to USB.

Cons: Zero mouse movement or buttons were detected. When you see a product have high % of 1-egg, you should be concerned that it may not work as you expect it to. That is the case here.

Other Thoughts: I have a number of PS/2 Keyboards that can be used as USB KBs with one of these, but don't expect the mouse port to work.

2 out of 5 eggsDied after 6 months

Pros: Worked without a problem for a good half a year.

Cons: It seems to be flaky in hot weather. I use a KVM switch and I started getting keyboard problems now that summer is here. I thought it might be my mobo under Linux but it now completely fails with another computer under XP.

Other Thoughts: It's some weird combo of warn weather/KVM/keyboard that is causing the problems. Who knows it might be fine in cold weather but considering a keyboard is such a critical compenent.
