1 out of 5 eggsDoes not work

Pros: Great idea (had it worked)

Cons: Does not work with both mouse and keyboard connected. Only works with the Keyboard alone. didn't bother trying mouse only (who cares after all)

5 out of 5 eggsWorks on laptops

Pros: This thing is mislabeled. Most desktop motherboards do not support running mouse & keyboard from 1 PS/2 port. However, most older style laptops that have a PS/2 connector DO support hooking up an external mouse & keyboard through the one PS/2 using this kind of adapter. I have some older Thinkpads and this adapter worked perfectly after reversing the mouse & keyboard as others suggested.

These are getting hard to find and the price was so cheap, I bought 2. They both worked after reversing the connectors.

Cons: Color-coded Mouse & keyboard connectors are reversed.

Other Thoughts: I gave it 5 stars even though the connectors are reversed because the price was so reasonable.

1 out of 5 eggsDon't Buy It

Pros: Looks Nice

Cons: I read the negative comments about this adapter but seeing the different colors for the keyboard and mouse and the fact that matched what was on my motherboard connector I said oh it'll work for me.

Well it didn't only the keyboard would work. Switched the KB and the mouse with no luck.

Doesn't pay to send it back so I'm stuck with it.

Other Thoughts: I then bought a USB Y-Splitter and it works fine.

1 out of 5 eggsDoes not work

Pros: It only cost me five bucks, so its not worth the hassle of an RMA.

Cons: What is the point of having a splitter if only one side works? I have a combo port on my motherboard and wanted to connect my PS/2 keyboard and mouse to it, but either the keyboard works or either the mouse works, but NOT both. Lucky for me, I had a USB mouse on hand to use.

Other Thoughts: Don't waste your money on this.

1 out of 5 eggs

Pros: updating previous post

Cons: doesn't work on asus

Other Thoughts: asus replied and notified me that the ps/2 combo port on my mb is made to support either kb or pointing device, not both (ugh!). so i presume that if the motherboard supported it, this may actually work as intended.

1 out of 5 eggsSame results as previous reviewer(s)

Pros: it fits

Cons: I had the same results as previous reviewer(s) - same review, two products, purchased both the same time i purchased my mb.

StarTech KYC1MF ps/2 Y cable - keyboard works, mouse doesn't

TrippLite P230-001 ps/2 Y cable- mouse works, keyboard doesn't

using with an asus p8h67-m-pro, with a ps/2 combo port. i'm not sure why there's not separate kb/mouse ports.

Other Thoughts: using an ergonomic keyboard with an integrated touchpad. I've been using this style for nearly 15 years, but over the past few years they've been getting very difficult to find, but it's what i use, and i don't want to change; but until i get a work-around, i'll have to forgo using that workstation (obviously not the one that i'm using right now)

1 out of 5 eggsGotcha

Pros: Ahhhhhhhhhhhhh !

Cons: Ship unit does not work. Tried on 2 different MB, keyboard side works. I suppose I can still use it as a 6" extension.

Other Thoughts: Nothing I can post.

2 out of 5 eggsDoesn't work with Asus P5Q-E

Pros: Price.

Cons: Didn't work with my setup

Other Thoughts: My Asus P5Q-E motherboard had only a single PS/2 input. Since I didn't want to convert to USB yet (I like my mouse and ego keyboard), I thought I'd try this converter. It didn't work for this application. I got a ByteCC PS/2 to USB converter and it did work.
