5 out of 5 eggsGreat Cable

Pros: To be honest I don't really use this cable much any more but at one point for about a year I used it all the time to connect hard drives directly to my laptop. I never had any problems with it in that time. The length of this cable was a big pro for me because it would actually reach around my desk, helping keep the cable out of the way. The cable itself feels very strong and I imagine you would be hard pressed to destroy it without trying, I never bothered to try for myself. The connectors are fairly solid and once inserted have almost no movement when wiggled.

Cons: None in the time I used it, did exactly what it promised.

Other Thoughts: It might be a little long for most people, if your not going to need the extra length consider buying something shorter.

5 out of 5 eggsWorks!

Pros: Just got the cable in today. It's a tad overpriced, but you'll have that with a specific-application cable. I'm using it with a Rocketfish 622 eSata controller, to connect my remote-mounted DVD drive.

Cons: None yet, hopefully that's not a jinx.

5 out of 5 eggsIt works, and that's what counts!

Pros: It works, and that's what counts. Yep, as much as I love my desktop case, it only holds two hard drives and this is a work around, plus a floor fan of course.

Cons: Yeah, it's stiff.

3 out of 5 eggsWorks as it should - but it's too stiff.

Pros: It works perfectly. I have front SATA plugs on 2 side-by-side machines so I use it between my Rosewill enclosure (eSATA) and my machines (SATA). It's build quite tough.

Cons: Really it's too stiff. I've seen dashboards with the old internal SATA plugs on the front (not the newer enclosed type). If you have one of those I'm sure this cable will break your plug eventually. DO NOT plug into MoBo or HDD unless you have a strong plug. Believe me, it's just a matter of time before it breaks.

Other Thoughts: One of my machines is behind a door on the desk and it's always nerve-racking to try to get the cable to bend enough so I can get the door closed. No matter what I do it still pops back and holds the door open 3-4 inches. And since that MoBo isn't SATA "hot-swap" capable, I'd have to reboot just to plug it back in. So in conclusion - it works, but it could be better.

5 out of 5 eggsUSING FOR ESATA +SATA RAID

Pros: Thick but flexable cable, with plenty of length. Using cable for eSATA motherboard port going back into PC through expansion slot to internal hard drive, due to limitation of ONBOARD RAID using one internal SATA PORT, and for RAID, must use eSATA port on back of motherboard. (many motherboards I have used in the last 2 years have this weird option, of no ONBOARD RAID, unless using split SATA and eSATA ....) WORKS GREAT!! HIGH QUALITY CABLE!!

Cons: none. Rare cable is not cheap, but still fairly priced for quality given.

Other Thoughts: Hard cable to find other than online.
