2 out of 5 eggsdoesnt seem to fit

Pros: it was exactly what I needed..

Cons: don't see any bent connections, just wont go into place, everything seems fine maybe it takes more force than im willing to risk on my motherboard, I tried pushing it on pretty hard until I didn't feel safe..

Manufacturer Response:

Hello Charlie,

We are sorry to hear that you are having issues with our EPS8EXT power extension cable.

If too much effort needs to be applied to connect this cable to your motherboard’s 8 pin power port, then there may be a fault with this cable’s connector. Are you able to verify, if possible, that a power cable running directly from your power supply fits into the port without resistance?

Feel free to contact us directly and please reference case number 303-219336. If necessary, we can send you a replacement cable at no cost to you, as the product is backed by a lifetime warranty.

Regards,

2 out of 5 eggswaste of money maybe?

Pros: seemed like what I needed... but..

Cons: so I received it, tried to put it on to extend my power cord it's a bit short, doesn't seem to go on, I tried being forceful but it just wont slide in place. don't see any bent pins or anything wrong, it just does not want to go in and im not about to break a $150 motherboard so ill just throw this cord away I guess

5 out of 5 eggssturdy

Pros: - Cable is loose enough that you can manipulate
- sturdy connectors and fits like a glove
- not some silly colors

Cons: - Will not make my work commute any shorter
- Does not return my phone calls

Other Thoughts: This will help if you have some short modular 8 pins which need to stretch to the motherboard which were designed for a second pci-e card from lower end half modular power supplies. This is actually a quality product.

5 out of 5 eggsWorks fine which is awesome.

Pros: Connects up to the mainboard and power supply just perfect and spans the distance that I needed. It is delivering power as designed. What more could I ask?

Cons: Not the prettiest but my cables are generally hidden so.....

Other Thoughts: I bought a full tower case that puts the power supply at the bottom and the mainboard connector at the top. The lead on the power supply did not reach.

5 out of 5 eggsWorks Great and Cheap!

Pros: Basic CPU power extention cable. It works as described is high quality and low cost. Good for those with a tall case and not wanting to try to find a power supply with extra long cables.

Cons: none

Other Thoughts: Newegg shipped it fast and it didn't cost much. I needed this when upgrading my system with a motherboard that only uses a 4 pin CPU power connector. I also have the StarTech 8 pin extension from my last motherboard.
