StarTech Model SLSATAM20 20" Slimline SATA Male to SATA with LP4 Power Cable

Pros: Works as advertised

Cons: Not the greatest quality. Way to long for what I needed. But able to cram it into a Sugo SG06 mini gaming rig.

HP Slimline Optical (Only one to order at the time)

Pros: Nothing physically wrong with the cable

Cons: Male SATA connector not compatible with LG BluRay and LiteOn slimline DVD drives.

Other Thoughts: I ordered 2 of these cable with 2 different slimline DVD drives. The drives require female SATA connectors. I did not realize there are apparently different standards for this technology. My goal is to call attention to this for other who might make the same mistake.

Pros: worked to use a 2nd HDD in my Vaio VGN-Z's DVD drive bay.

works for all Z series

Cons: cost
SATA part is too long for what i need it for.

Other Thoughts: comes with only two wires, not 4.

but this is no problem to hook up other hdd.

Pros: seems to be well made

Cons: photo is slightly different from actual product received - the LP4 cable only has the red and black (5v) wires, not all 4. This is not completely unexpected since the slimline spec is only for 5v, but nonetheless the photo is misleading.
