The PYO2SATA SATA power splitter cable features a SATA male power connector that connects to a single computer power supply SATA connector, and breaks out into two SATA female power connectors.

The SATA power splitter/Y-cable overcomes the limit of the number of SATA drives that can be installed in the system based on available PSU power connections, and eliminates the cost of having to upgrade the power supply to accommodate an additional SATA drive.

My power supply in my HTPC only had one SATA power connector for some reason, and I wanted to add a slimline optical drive. Power supply was more than sufficient, so I just needed a splitter. Voila! Cons: Would be nice if there was a bit more plastic shielding the male connector, but the construction is solid. Other Thoughts: Used to place 2 2.5" drives in a 3.5" bay. Cons: none Other Thoughts: 6" is a bit long for typical use. Consider how much "extra length" you really need, especially for mid-tower or smaller cases.
