5 out of 5 eggsSneaky USB2 ports for servers

Pros: For when you need to hide the OS boot drive key and not have to worry about it being bumped or "lost"

Cons: Just wish the PCB was as skinny as the USB2 header with some optional mounting bracket.

Other Thoughts: Nice and sturdy.

5 out of 5 eggsDoes the job

Pros: Works perfectly.

Cons: Could be a little wide the way the USB connectors are placed for some mother boards.

4 out of 5 eggsDoes what it is supposed to.

Pros: Provides two internal USB connections for embedding flash drives. The price was decent.

Cons: The USB ports are really tight. When adding a drive, it felt like it was bending the brackets the adapter was mounted into. When I tried to remove a drive, the entire adapter came out.

Other Thoughts: I bought this to install a small USB flash drive inside my case, to boot the operating system off of. It works and will serve its purpose, but caution needs to be taken when adding or removing a drive. It felt like it would pop the entire bracket off the motherboard when adding a drive.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat little adapter

Pros: I am running linux from a usb stick on my home NAS server. This allowed me to put the usb stick inside the case to prevent it from accidently getting pulled or knocked out of the port on the outside of the case. It plugs directly into one of the usb headers on the motherboard.

Cons: None

5 out of 5 eggsWorks well, but...

Pros: Works fine, easy to install, gives 2 USB ports right on the mobo.

Cons: none with this, but due to electrical interference inside the case, it may not be the best option for a Bluetooth or WiFi adapter

Other Thoughts: I ended up taking this out and adding 2 ports out the back. I wanted it to put a Bluetooth adapter inside the case. Too much interference, the signal kept dropping out. Not a problem with this device, though, it works great.

5 out of 5 eggsJust what I was looking for.

Pros: It's plug and play and allows you basically plug USB devices directly into your motherboard.

Cons: The board is too wide. It kind of looks like it has two little wings. These wings block the adjacent USB inputs. I would be fine with this if the wings allowed for flight. However, this device can not fly... so why did the designers feel the need to give it a pair of wings? I do not know.

Other Thoughts: I use this to plug my wireless receivers into my motherboard so I don't have to waste external USB slots on them. Currently I have a bluetooth dongle and the RF reciever for my wireless keyboard plugged into the same one and everything works great. I'm thinking about buying a few more just in case I ever need them.

5 out of 5 eggsExcellent

Pros: Converts one motherboard USB header into two port you can plug items into. Used it to bring an external USB floppy drive into my case. Still have one port left for a flash drive

Cons: Price, could be cheaper. It's simple tech after all

5 out of 5 eggsOdd use case

Pros: I used to work around a situation where I couldn't boot a specific machine and I had to put the boot partition somewhere. So I put it on an internal flash drive with this.

It worked, but I would not recommend unless you are in dire straights otherwise

Cons: Many motherboard USB headers are near the edge of the motherboard. If your motherboard is of the largest size that your case can handle using this might stress the motherboard header.

Other Thoughts: Thank you, whoever thought there would be a market for this. I bought a second, just in case.

5 out of 5 eggsworks as expected

Pros: Plugged it in and it works....what more can I say!!!

Cons: None yet.

Other Thoughts: Using this for a Freenas box. Want to get one for my HTPC so I can add bluetooth and hide the dongle for the remote.
