It's to connect a TV with VGA to a component device, not a computer monitor. That's why its called a break out cable. For standard VGA to component you need a converter to convert the signal properly. This cable works fine when used properly with the proper equipment. Cons: n/a Other Thoughts: It would be nice if the product description did mention it will not work as a signal converter from VGA to component. It shows up fine for my program that I use to record video from my 360 to my computer but while recording it the screen is different shades of green on my monitor. Just now while live streaming footage my monitor started to blink in and out and it is still that now as I write this maybe I got a bad cord but I will be returning this it didn't help me at all. 0 out of 3 people found this review helpful.
