Pros: Works fine with full HD resolutions out of the box.

Cons: As others have said, this is a PASSIVE adapter. You CANNOT use EYEFINITY with this adapter (eg: 3 or more monitor set up). You will need an active adapter for this.

Other Thoughts: The adapter is well made. Tight connections on both ends. It also transfers sound. I had to enable sound in properties, but that was expected. Video card it's connected to EVGA GTX 590 Hydro Copper. Thank you StarTech!

Cons: I recieved a HDMI Female to Mini HDMI Female. It was in a bag marked HDMI Female to Mini HDMI Male. That is not what you get. Look closley at the image of the Mini HDMI. I get a labor warranty has expired on the RMA process. What a crock. This is a misrepresentation and I am hacked off. The description says Mini Display Port to HDMI M-F. So the Mini should be Male!!!!!!!

Other Thoughts: Plugged two of them into my Retina Macbook Pro and now able to have two external monitors for better multi-tasking. A total of 3 external displays with the HDMI port on macbook pro.

Other Thoughts: I think that StarTech does a good over all job with most of their connectors.

Pros: Great adapter, works as advertised. Worked with my xfx 5770 single slot, which didnt come with any adapters. Clear picture, pretty sure its the same as HDMI quality but with no sound, which is not a con, because some rather use external speakers instead of the weak monitor speakers.

Cons: Price is excessively expensive for such a small adapter, even though the price is lowered to 17.99, i believe this quality of adapter is only worth 9.99. Also a passive adapter so if i wanted to use eyefinity with 3 or more screens these adapters would be useless later. Imagine buying 5 active adapters with a price higher than this passive adapter, that is almost enough for a decent graphics card!

Pros: Plugged it in to my Thunderbolt port, then to my 50" plasma and it was immediately recognized. Excellent.

Cons: HDMI supports both audio and video and as I read on the Apple website, compliant converters CAN support both. This device only supports video. Large disappointment for my home theatre.

Other Thoughts: I should have read the comments that it does not support audio but to me, a device that only does half of what it should do will not get more than a 3/5 rating. If you need it for video only, it works beautifully.

Pros: Bought this to use with a home theatre system. I have a Onkyo 7.1 HT system hooked up to my PC 2 rooms away with a 45ft HDMI cable. I use a Asus 21.5" HDMI monitor as well. Normally I would have to switch them around when I wanted to watch a movie because my video card only has 1 hdmi port but 2 mini display ports. Hooked my asus up to this adapter and my tv to my hdmi, colors are good and doesn't seem any different vs the hdmi on the video card.

Cons: When I first plugged it in, windows saw it as a DVI to HDMI adapter and said that audio couldn't be played though it, although I haven't messed around with it yet, I'm pretty sure it will play audio.

Other Thoughts: The package look like a sandwich bag with a label on it, not from newegg, but from startech themselves...what ever though, it got to me unharmed.
