1 out of 5 eggsUpdate to my last review

Pros: Did the USB

Cons: Doesn't do the USB anymore. Was using these as an in car charge cord, figured the short length wouldn't matter there as the location of my outlet would allow me to rest the phone on my center console. One cable was either DOA or broke before the maiden voyage, the other was fine for a quick charge up on my way to work but had ceased functioning by the time I left that night.

Cannot recommend these as they appear to be too fragile to handle even a 30 minute period of light vibration without self destructing

Other Thoughts: Not worth it to RMA, and I don't really want replacements either.

3 out of 5 eggsAbout right

Pros: Short cable great for tethering or quick connections

Cons: Short cable only good for tethering, quick connections, or very specific use cases. It's almost too inflexible for 90% of the tasks I could think to use a short cord for. Price seems high for the quality, especially at the non-discounted rate.

Other Thoughts: Cables are about 6 inches only if you include the connectors, the cord itself is only about 3.5-4 inches. This would have fit my needs better if it were 6 inches of cord, and would have solved a lot of the flexibility complaints in the process.

5 out of 5 eggsIt's a 6" USB Cable

Pros: Does the USB

Cons: Doesn't not do the USB

Other Thoughts: Yes, it's a six inch cable. Stop complaining about the length.

1 out of 5 eggsDouble the cost

Pros: Useful when short cable is important

Cons: Hard to justify doubling the cost for shipping especially since it could fit in a small envelop.

2 out of 5 eggsMeh

Pros: Price.

Cons: Cheap connector on the micro end, fits loosely so you very easily loose connectivity for a moment if you bump the cable or the device it's hooked into. Thought maybe the port on my Droid X was just a little bigger than it should be or something, but tried it on a friend's Galaxy S and it's just as loose there. I used a needle-nose pliers to squeeze the metal connector down a bit in the middle to make it tighter, and that helps, but it's still not a very good connector. Don't bother buying this, it's not worth it. Get some other brand of cable.

2 out of 5 eggsToo short / inflexible

Pros: Very portable, doesn't tangle - dimensions are slighly larger than a pen. (You can store it in some pen sleeves in a briefcase or organizer.) Cable is pretty thick -- durable but won't flex much. I bought this after I bought StarTech's 6-foot left-angle micro-USB which his a very thin "angel-hair" cable. I had been looking forever for a micro-USB cable that wasn't super-heavy-duty and I figured this 6" would be the same thin cable as the 6-footer but it wasn't.

Cons: Cable is too short and too thick to be very versatile. I have a Griffin Compact Wall Charger (tiny cube with fold out electircal plug and USB port) that I use this with. With a very flat Belkin surge protector and the Griffin charger, this USB is not long/flexible enough for my phone to lay flat on a desktop, but sort of "lounges", putting weight on the connection between phone and cable. Aside from plugging something into your laptop's side mounted USB port, I can't think of any other use for this item.

Other Thoughts: Adding one or two inches to this cable and making it slightly less thick with a softer/more flexible jacket (as seen on common cell phone micro-USB charge cables) would greatly improve its versatility without taking away any of the convenience/portability.
