Pros: Works for USB 2.0 speed.

Cons: Doesn't work for USB 3.0 speed.

Other Thoughts: Using a CORSAIR Survivor Stealth 128GB USB 3.0 Flash Drive to test it.

Plugged into StarTech USB 3.0 extension cable: 35MB/s

Pros: Snug connections, but not too much so. As others have mentioned, good quality heavy gauge cable with good drape. Nice big block of plastic on end keeps LAN Adapter steadily in place. Not likely to tip over, or reorient from vibration.

Cons: ppl who review the same thing three times irk me. and, Scrooged just wasn't all that funny. re the cable? none.

Other Thoughts: Edimax 1200 connected via this and a USB3SEXTAA6 extension (also Startech) to three different pcs, and all connected ok. Poor usb2.0 extensions previously gave me a cynic's perspective, but these work just fine. Very nice to see steady 20-24MB/s to/from both basement workbench and family room HTPC w/AC, where best before was 12MB/s with 5GHz N. Nice when stuff does what it is supposed to do.

Pros: looks good on my desk

Other Thoughts: my usb3.0 female adaptors are all on the back of the desktop computer. this eliminates my having to constantly go behind the computer and plug/unplug 3.0 devices. it sits on the desk and much easier plug n play.

Pros: Thick yet flexible cable; solid, weighted base with vertical slot - perfect for mounting a USB 3.0 wireless AC adapter at a higher location and at a better angle for improved reception (the reason I bought it, since the only extension cable I had previously was USB 2.0); came with both ends protected with a removable plastic insert/cover; neither loose nor too tight USB connectors.

Cons: A little pricey compared to USB 2.0 versions, but there were no other USB 3.0 extension cables with a vertical mount base available.
No cons function-wise so far, I just plugged it in and it worked.

Pros: Seems to work just fine. Was a bit worried reading reviews as I'm more worried about a 128gb usb3 patriot drive that the usb feels like it's going to fall off of working in here with complaints of the socket being "tight". No such issue, slides right in easily, and just works. Base is weighted too to hold it in place. Great!

Pros: Nice heavy cable so it takes no time at all to loose the coil effect. The dock is also very heavy and sits solidly flat on my desk, made of good solid plastic. USB port is not tight anymore as some buyers complained of, its snug the way you'd expect.

Cons: none.

Other Thoughts: Probably buy another one soon.

Pros: i installed a USB 3.0 card in a computer that only had USB 2.0 front ports. instead of reaching into the back of my computer, this cable makes it very convenient for me to use my USB 3.0 devices. i just bought a second cable for another computer.

Cons: the opening might gather dust, but doesn't bother me (so far).

Other Thoughts: other reviewers mentioned snug fit. i think startech fixed the problem. i used my first one for a few months and didn't experience any problems. the second one is working fine.
