5 out of 5 eggsDoes exactly what it is supposed to do

Pros: Still running an older motherboard that doesn't have USB 3.0 headers on it, but my case USB ports are 3.0. Bought this adapter to hook up the USB 3.0 cable to the 2.0 headers and it works great. No issues with the ports since installing this cable. So can now use the ports on top of the case as opposed to only having the ones on back of the computer as my only options.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: Good value for the price and does exactly as it is supposed to do.

1 out of 5 eggsGreat for destroying your phone

Pros: -I have a nice brick now
-easy to install
-Cheap, phone was not.

Cons: -Plugged this into my case USB 3.0 then to my motherboards USB 2.0 port, plugged in my phone, didnt charge, later that day tried again and my phone just blew up, i can still smell the smoke.

Other Thoughts: Give this to a friend if you want to burn their house down

5 out of 5 eggsWorks

Pros: I have a USB 3 port on the front of my case, but only USB 2 connectors on my mobo. I bought this to be able to use the USB 3 port. It works without a hitch. OS found the USB port right off.

Cons: None that I can see.

5 out of 5 eggsNice Cable

Pros: Works perfectly, well built

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: Needed the cable to hook up my new NZXT case 3.0 USB cables to an older motherboard that did not have a 3.0 header. The case will use 2.0 usb unless I upgrade my motherboard.

5 out of 5 eggsDoes what it should

Pros: Good quality
wires are covered up to end (almost) with black sleeve
It works " . "

Does not stand out in windowed case

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: I don't own any 3.0 devices so wanted a simple NO hassle way to avoid any issues with the USB ports in my new build which has only USB 3.0 ports in front.

Are 3.0 ports backwards compatible? I am not plugging a $150 pair of headphones in to find out, even if they are.

Manufacturer Response:

USB 3.0 ports are compatible with older formats, including 2.0, so you should be fine with using any plug-and-play devices.

5 out of 5 eggsSolved my case \ motherboard dilemma

Pros: Handy to have if your PC's case front USB connectors are USB 3, but your mother board only has USB 2 connectors. This lets you at least use the front connectors, just not at the speed they are capable of

Cons: None known

Other Thoughts: It sure would be nice if Motherboard manufacturers would automatically add backwards compatible USB 3 connectors to their USB 3 compatible boards... that would make more sense than the USB 2 connectors that come standard

5 out of 5 eggsseems to do what it's designed to do

Pros: -Helps utilize an extra USB 3.0 port on the board by letting you convert your 3.0 USB plug into a 2.0 USB plug.

Cons: -Might take up a 2.0 port if your in need of a 3.0, so decide what one you need more before buying.

Other Thoughts: I have two items in my rig that needs a 3.0 USB port on the motherboard so I had to put one of them in a 2.0 USB port and i did so with this USB 3.0 to 2.0 cable.

I'm by no means an expert but I have feeling that I am not getting 3.0 speed. But at least it utilizes the ports I need, and i think that is all that really matters. At least until Motherboard makers put two or three 3.0 motherboard ports on their boards.

1 out of 5 eggsHalf-way Works

Pros: It was very inexpensive converter.

Cons: I have 2 USB 3.0 front header ports on my case (NODE 804). When I plug the converter in, only 1 of the 2 ports works. I tried connecting it into the other USB 2.0 headers on my MOBO and same results. I will look for a solutions before returning.

Other Thoughts: No other thoughts at this time.

5 out of 5 eggsJust what I needed

Pros: Works, cheap, good length

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: Case had USB3.0 connector; motherboard didn't. I plugged the cable from the case into this thing and plugged this thing into the motherboard. It's simple, and it works.
