5 out of 5 eggsHard to Find Cable

Pros: Excellent Cable, right out of box and works without a problem.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: I may have to order another to have it just in case; considering you always have a hard time finding these.

2 out of 5 eggsWould not purchase again

Pros: None

Cons: Very thin cable. Would not power my USB key. I went back to using 2 2ft cables instead. Not pleased.

Other Thoughts: Would not recommend. It's a shame; I've ordered thousands of dollars of parts from Newegg over the years, and this is the first product I've received of dismal quality.

4 out of 5 eggsDid what I wanted

Pros: Its cheap and it works just as I wanted it to.

Cons: Too short, but luckily that doesn't affect what I'm using it for. Since I bought 2, I'm sure whenever I'll use my 2nd one will be a problem to me.

Other Thoughts: I bought 2 of these - 1 in case if I'll ever need it in the future and another to convert the N-Media PC VFD (sold here) into an external USB device using front panel ports from an old computer case.

1 out of 5 eggsWill not power-up my notebood drives

Pros: A-Male to A-Male - very hard to find

Cons: I bought these to use with NewEgg's Sabrent SBT-ESU25 notebook drive enclosures - Good idea but turned out to be a 7 foot leap over a 8 foot ditch as, my two 100g Seagates and one 40g Toshiba drive refuse to spin-up using these cables. My 80g Hitachi spins up but only after awhile. I bought four of these but as they can only spin-up 1 of 4 drives, it sorta makes them worthless and not even worthwile to RMA.

Other Thoughts: For my use its a neat idea - Took bad they went cheap with the super thin wire which really limits the critical 5 volt power to the drive. If you are only doing data then I guess it might be a good buy. But for me, it's time to get my solder gun out and splice two A-Males together. Hope this helps someone make a better buying decision than I did.
