5 out of 5 eggsGood deal

Pros: Good quality cable. The cable length is just about the right length for my MB (if I want to be picky, it could be a little shorter to reduce the clutter). The bracket plate has a lip on one edge to stiffen it better than a flat plate.

Cons: As another review mentioned, the internal connector (plug to the motherboard) seemed a bit loose. Not really a con, since it works fine, but it doesn't snap in to feel secure.

Other Thoughts: Unlike some other reviews, I've had no problem fitting this in to one of the PCI slots.

3 out of 5 eggsWorks good enough

Pros: Works great. No hiccups.

Cons: I had to apply some pressure with a screwdriver on the bracket to make room for the cable connector to fit. Not a big deal.

I'm a little concerned with ease of which the cable can come out. If you move the computer, double check to make sure the cable is still seated well.

I broke two eggs (on the review) for my concern with the loose connection.

Other Thoughts: The price is too good to pass up. If I need another, I'd get this one unless another bracket beats the price with no reports of possible loose connections.

5 out of 5 eggsExcellent Deal

Pros: Quality is there for the price, easy installation, works like a charm. The File(s) transfer speeds between my computers are a lot faster than with regular USB 2.0.

Cons: none

4 out of 5 eggsGood to have on-hand

Pros: Does what it should

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: I had bought this with the intention of using it to add an eSATA port to a PogoPlug V2. As it turned out, the PogoPlug didn't have an onboard SATA, but I kept this is a spare just in case I find myself needing it.

5 out of 5 eggsdid what i need

Pros: had 2 esata cables connect to my internal hard drives with this. now have 5 hard drive connected to system.

Cons: have to use this solution till i get my 2TB hard drives later this year.

Other Thoughts: Good news to hear floods want have that much of effect on hard drive after all... waiting to see the hard drive prices to drop back to normal in the next couple of months.

5 out of 5 eggsdoes what it says

Pros: straight forward, cheap and easily dissassembled to mod an esata port onto junk apex case and my trusty apevia x-alien

Cons: wasn't free and not available in a 3.5" bay cover

Other Thoughts: quick simple and cheap means of adding front pannel esata to old cases, providing you can finger out how to work a dremel tool and don't mind cutting a few holes in plastic case front pannel...

3 out of 5 eggsProblems on Startup

Pros: Cheap and when it works it works as expected.

Cons: The cables tend to fall out which causes issues. I have noticed that I have to reseat one of the cables everytime I reboot or the motherboard locks up when trying to find the external drive. Basically, I have to push it in and reboot.
