Pros: Simple and intutive installation. The converter was easy to hook up. No problem installing the print drivers in Windows 7. I needed a very low volume satellite laser printer. I had a working HP 1100 in the closet BUT it was parallel and the computer was strictly USB. For less than $10 I saved $100 to 200 dollars. Which I can now use to upgrade my main computer.

Cons: none

Other Thoughts: Thanks Newegg for offering so many after market convertors. Please feel free to add more to your catalogue.

Pros: NewEgg is awesome!

Cons: Did not work connecting to a Laserjet 1100. On installation, port and printer are detected, but only a single page can be printed without errors. After the first page, subsequent print jobs crash until removing and re-installing the adapter. The exact same problem appeared on multiple machines. The printer has no issues with direct parallel connection or traditional print servers.

Pros: Long, fits the parallel printer port.

Cons: Didn't work with my printer. From what Ive gathered, my printer (being ridiculously old) seemed to be just a bit too old, and I couldn't get the proper drivers to make the cord work.

Other Thoughts: Im assuming the cord worked properly and the issue was just with the printer. Bit of a shame, but not really much money lost, so no big deal.

Pros: Bought a number of these when I upgraded a couple of workstations for a client. The client has HP 4100's at every desk! Crazy but that's what they wanted. Since the printers are still working great I needed a simple cheap adapter. These fit the bill.

Cons: none, work perfectly.
