Cons: ONLY WORKS IN WINDOWS; HDDs CANNOT BE SEEN IN BIOS AND BE BOOTED FROM!! Very often must be unplugged and then re-plugged in order to work and for sure if PC was rebooted with this adapter left plugged in. BUT it has worked each time--as long as it is unplugged and then re-plugged. ALSO I am having the same exact problems with a KINGWIN ADP-07U3 USB 3.0 to SSD & SATA Adapter. This is the case for both adapters on several different PCs. Other Thoughts: In the past I have been a fan of KINGWIN USB 2.0 and USB 3.0 2.5" HDD enclosures and have not experienced any problems. In fact, the other KINGWIN products I own have been dependable, problem free and even have some of the best transfer speeds of all the USB enclosures and adapters I own and use regularly.
