1 out of 5 eggsHorrible adapters

Pros: They might work

Cons: Cheaply made, poor performance, don't fit into slots well due to their large size.
The fourth and final one just broke today. Latch button is difficult to use.
It's as though they disintegrate from the inside out. The plug gives out, its as though it disintegrates from the inside out. if you open it up once it breaks, which is easy, you can see how poorly the DP side of the plug is soldered. It's a POC and you should not buy it. Wish I could give it zero eggs.

1 out of 5 eggsAbsolute Total Junk

Pros: None

Cons: Will not even fit far enough into the display port to make contact

Other Thoughts: I really want to give this sorry excuse of a product zero eggs, but that isn't an option. Avoid at all cost. You even have to pay for return shipping yourself.

1 out of 5 eggsFell apart

Pros: Unlike other reviews, mine worked for almost 4 months!

Cons: I came in to work today to use my machine, only to find the adapter's case was coming apart. When I tried to squeeze the whole case back together it completely fell apart leaving the male display port stuck in my laptop, and I used pliers to get it out. I've replugged this adapter maybe twice in the time that I've had it.

Other Thoughts: This adapter can make a great gag gift for someone. Imagine the looks on their faces when it just falls apart leaving jagged electronics sticking out of their laptop. Definitely a good gift for your office nemesis.

1 out of 5 eggsHorrible

Pros: It worked for awhile.

Cons: It fell apart almost instantly after removing it a couple of times.

Other Thoughts: Buy one with a wire attached to it, if it is a bit longer then there is less stress on the plug.

1 out of 5 eggs

Pros: very Delicate, the weight of the VGA cable popped the cover off and the pulled the circuit board with all its pins out of the display port connector. It did function properly at first.

Cons: Could not get it running after getting all the pins back in so I through it in the trash and ordered from another vendor. Win some Lose some. Was only 11.99, but took a week to get from NJ to Va.

4 out of 5 eggsWorks alright

Pros: Compact, works well.

Cons: A little flimsy, had an employee move her computer around and broke the adapter partially off in the DisplayPort. After seeing the insides of the broken adapter, I can see how the other reviewers are complaining.

Other Thoughts: If you buy this, just be careful shifting the computer or the adapter around, as they are prone to break if physically stressed.

1 out of 5 eggs

Pros: None

Cons: Junk - Two of these fell apart with in days of use.

Other Thoughts: This thing is a total piece of junk. I've had 2 and with in a week each has broken. The design is bad enough but the quality of the product is even worse (if possible) Save your money and get something else

1 out of 5 eggsgarbage

Pros: none

Cons: Literally fell apart

Other Thoughts: This adapter quite literally went to pieces the first time I used it. The plastic body halves popped apart and went flying in different directions. The traces then broke where they are soldered to the displayport plug.

I tried to fix it so it was useable and just did more damage, so now I get to eat the $10.

Also note: I purchased two mini-dp to DVI adapters by Kingwin a few weeks ago, one of them quit working before the first week was out.

I learned my lesson, I'll never buy a Kingwin product again.

5 out of 5 eggsAwesome Product

Pros: This product is awesome, I totally love it, the construction is solid, it’s simple, it’s easy, and doesn’t feel cheap at all. It works right out of package, just like that, no chemical science involved.

If you are looking for a Display Port to VGA conversion adapter you should get it.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: For me Kingwin is a good brand and I think my purchase is good choice w/ great value out there.

1 out of 5 eggsCheap, works when it wasn't falling apart

Pros: - Cheap
- Worked decently out of the package

Cons: - Cheap
- Plastic housing started coming apart almost instantly after the first use
- It managed to fall apart completely when disconnecting it after the first use
- The release clip that you press down doesn't actually release the pins like it is supposed to
- The actual component part was not sturdy to begin with. It felt very flimsy plugging it in.

Other Thoughts: I had originally chosen to go with a more expensive one for around $10 more. However, since there was an extremely tight budget involved for the accessories I was ordering, this looked like the best option at the time for a temporary solution. I didn't realize that the temporary solution would end prematurely after just a day. In the end, it wasn't worth saving that $10 for an item that is trashed after not even a whole day; I should have known better and have gone with a more reliable and sturdy product.
