3 out of 5 eggsDidn't deliver spec'ed power

Pros: This charger has a solid, sturdy design, as well as a subtle power indicator vs. the usual too-bright blue LED.

The specs sounded great @ 2.1A per port for 2 ports.

Cons: Unfortunately, this product didn't deliver on the stated specs in my situation. With two phones in active use, the charger wasn't able to keep them fully charged. For reference, the phones were a Samsung Galaxy Nexus LTE and a Samsung Galaxy S4.

I tried multiple cables but both phones would gradually discharge - albeit very slowly - over time even though they indicated (AC) charging while plugged into it. So, while it was definitely delivering a charge, it wasn't enough power to maintain a full, positive-trending charge on both Android phones. This may be an Android- or Samsung-specific issue, but I didn't have other devices to test with.

Bottom line: I returned the product since it didn't meet my needs, which was to charge my in-use phones to 100% while in the car.

5 out of 5 eggsBest USB car charger, ever!

Pros: See my previous review. I love everything about this charger. It's not too big, and puts out the juice!

Cons: NONE! In my previous review, I did not realize that my Nexus was actually charging (although it did not show it with the power on).

A recent update now shows charging even as expected.

Other Thoughts: I bought two of these, and will probably get a couple more. There is no better USB car charger out there, period!

4 out of 5 eggsVery well built, and not too big.

Pros: Well built, not cheap plastic, like many others I've tried.
I was afraid it might be too big, but when it arrived, it's perfect.

The biggest plus to this unit, is that it puts out 2.1 amps for EACH jack. Not like the cheap dual-USB units that have 2.1 amps max, or the mediocre dual-USB units that have 3.1 amps max. This is the real deal; 20 watts!

Best USB car charger I've ever owned. Only one minor gripe (see below).

Cons: Doesn't charge my Nexus 7.
That's the *only* reason I give it 4 stars. Overall, it's great (so great that I feel bad about leaving any negative comments). Nothing else to complain about.

Other Thoughts: Doesn't charge my Nexus 7.
Although I haven't found *any* car charger that will!

I've been through several so-called 2.1A USB car chargers, and thought I'd give this one a try.
I may need to make a special charging cable, just to get it to work with my Nexus 7.

The AC wall chargers work fine, and when I use the exact same USB cable in the car, it does not charge. Yes, I've tried several other USB cables, and a few other car chargers as well, with no success.
