Pros: Cable used is strong and feel full to the touch.

Cons: Defective on usb3 only, usb2 works fine. When hooking up a usb3 flash drive, if i just move a little the drive from left to right inside the connector, without pulling it back at all, the device disconnect. I know the usb3 implementation inside the usb connectors is very small contacts that needs the device to be firmly inserted at 100% into the slot but this loose connection problem does not happened if i connect the device directly to the back ports of my motherboard or if i shake the end of the extension cord that is connected into the motherboard.

Other Thoughts: I will ask for a RMA and see if the next one is affected of the same problem.

Pros: Fast and works with both my USB 3.0 docking station and flash drive. Absolutely no problems.

Cons: A little long at times, but that's hardly a "con."

Other Thoughts: I've tried other extensions with mixed results. This one worked as soon as I plugged it into my computer and the external device.

Pros: Obvious quality, thicker than other normal good quality USB extension, but not overly thick at all. Ends attach firmly, almost click in; well built.

Cons: Little pricey, but you get what you pay for.

Other Thoughts: I'll let others test the transfer rates, but I plugged it in and it worked fine, so I am happy.

Pros: Well, it is blue and it works fine with USB 2.0.

Cons: Doesn't work with USB 3.0. It's not the ports cause I connected the external HDD directly to the USB 3.0 ports and it worked perfectly.

Other Thoughts: From what I can tell it seems to be a power issue. The cord is not pushing enough power through it to properly power the external HDD when connected to USB 3.0. However there is enough power from the USB 3.0 when directly connected to the HDD's much shorter cable, or if i use this cable with USB 2.0, but whats the point in buying a USB 3.0 cable to use with USB 2.0.

It's bright blue ! ! ! It's backward compatible with my usb2 gear. It's bright blue ! ! ! It's a bit more heavy duty than say a cat 5 cable. It's bright blue ! ! !

Cons: Okay, some folks seem to think that the color is a con.

Other Thoughts: The bright blue color allows me to differentiate it from the rest of my cables. cords, etc...

Connectors are tight, but not so tight that they break your USB plugs like some other brands.
No data errors yet at 90+mb/s speeds!

Other Thoughts: It has been recommended that you should not go more that 9.8ft with a USB3 cable without using a powered hub. I tested this theory by plugging this 10ft extension into another Tripp Lite USB3 6ft extension for a total of 16ft! When I ran a benchmark on the USB3 drive, it only reached 90mb/s before I got a lot of errors. Nothing wrong with the cable, just remember not to go over the 9.8ft per cable limit.

Pros: Bought two sets (6ft and 10ft) and they work well!

Cons: None, maybe the bright blue color I had to hide underneath furniture.
