Don't let distance make your application fizzle—extend an HDMI signal up to 100 ft.! This Tripp Lite HDMI over Cat5e/6 Extender Remote Unit delivers peak video performance by HDMI-enabled digital video components, assuring that you enjoy crystal-clear picture and full, rich sound. The B126-1P0 is a passive remote extender unit for use with the B126-002 and B126-004 HDMI Extender/Splitter units. It allows the extension of an HDMI signal up to 100 ft. at 1080i (60Hz), or up to 50 ft. at 1080p (60Hz) when using 24 Awg Solid-Wire Cat5e/6 cabling (Tripp Lite N202-Series). There is no hardware to deal with, which provides you with a variety of installation options. The B126-1P0 is completely plug-and-play for convenience, which makes for easy, efficient setup. The B126-1P0 features a green, RoHS-compliant design that is also TAA-compliant for GSA schedule purchases.
Works Well and Inexpensive
Pros: It works up to, and slightly beyond, its recommended distance for 1080p (60Hz). We were able to get a bit more than 75 feet out of it.
Cons: None. Works as expected.
Other Thoughts: We would buy this passive receiver again for similar distances. For longer distances you must go with the active receiver. From what I have seen, the shielding of the Ethernet cables does matter. Cheaper cables will probably degrade the signal more quickly. Stick with Cat5e/6/6a if possible to get the most distance.
