3 out of 5 eggsFast... When it works with the device.

Pros: It is fast

Cons: There are many SATA devices that this does not work properly with.

Other Thoughts: I bought this so I can rip & burn BD from my super cheap LG BD Drive. For some reason when I use this chip DVD Fab doesn't recognize it. I have to extract w/ ISO Buster then decrypt with DVD Fab then burn with IMG Burn. So by the time I am done I have do use up 100 gigs of space on my computer then I have to delete it. Its a pain.

I also tried this with a HDD that just would make a clicking noise like a dead HDD but when I put it in an enclosure it worked fine.

4 out of 5 eggsfaster USB3 bridge for 6G SSDs

Pros: Provides faster performance for 6Gb/s SSDs when connected to 4 lane USB 3.0 host adapter rated at 5Gb/s per port.

Cons: If bridge not powered up, it will cause an EFI error when booting Mac Pro.

Other Thoughts: Koutech's EEU330 USB3 enclosure does NOT use this bridge board even though the model number is similar.

5 out of 5 eggsHard drive write protect switch

Pros: Remember the little write protect tabs on floppy disks? This adapter write protects a SATA hard drive. So you can examine its contents without accidentally changing them. Just move the jumper to the write protect position. This is a great safety feature. It's usually only found on expensive forensic equipment used by law enforcement. I wish more flash drives had write protect switches, so you wouldn't have to expose your flash drive to the viruses on somebody else's computer when you just want to let them copy a file off it.

Cons: The write protect feature should be in the product title, not buried at the end of the list of features.
