4 out of 5 eggssoftware actually works for win 7!

Pros: supplied disc actually installs everything needed to hook up anything you may have. 3 different headsets, 2 different cell phones and 2 different tablets all connected no problem.

Cons: which blue tooth had faster data transfer rate.

Other Thoughts: will give further review if any problems. only had it for today, but am happy that it works as advertized, this device is version 4 so has been updated from neweggs ad.

5 out of 5 eggsWorks, with a little digging

Pros: I searched online for a Windows 7 driver. I immediately came up with a link to Windows 7 Compatibility Center which recommended WIDCOMM Bluetooth Software for Windows 7, Vista or XP for computers with a "Broadcom-enabled embedded or USB plug-in Bluetooth wireless adapter"

Cons: The Adapter came with its own software disk. I first installed the software using "autoplay." It never completely installed. Then, I then ran the installation manually using the Vista version BTW 6.0.1.6300 that came on the disk. This also failed to install completely.

I followed the links to the Broadcom website, downloaded and installed the software. This version installed completely. In minutes I was listening to my A2DP stereo headset and was able to pair my Nokia Smartphone to my desktop, synchronize it, etc. This is what I wanted to use the Bluetooth Adapter for in the first place. So, for the chance I took, it was a success!

Installation wasn't as easy I would have liked. I did not appreciate the extra steps I had to take to get it to work, and the time I wasted. But, having done so, I am very pleased with the product. Hopefully, some of you may be able to capitalize on these efforts, load & install the above software the first time--not have any headaches with this--but

1 out of 5 eggsDoes't work in Windows 7 x64

Pros: None, Zero, Nada

Cons: Doesn't work in Windows 7. What can be worst that that?

Other Thoughts: The funny thing is that this little fella works in Ubuntu, openSuSE 12.1, Snow Leopard 10.6.8 (Hackintosh). I could connect all of the cell phones in the family, three mouses and tho headphones in all of the distros listed above without any problem. I have only one Windows 7 x64 box, and this little fella could not discover or get connected to any of our Bluetooth enabled devices. I've bought it with intention to use it on Win 7 x64. What a joke ...

5 out of 5 eggsExcellent product

Pros: Installation was simple. It's very easy to setup and use. Connection is fast and consistent. The connection between the chip and whatever I'm using with it has broke only a handful of times out of the ten months I've had it for. I find myself going through batteries more than problems!

Cons: None so far.

4 out of 5 eggsIt works with Win7 32/64 and XP

Pros: I have used this on several systems including XP, and both 32 and 64bit versions of Win7. The installs for Win7 are nice and smooth. The XP install is a bit more cumbersome, but overall it's not bad.

Cons: On XP, whenever a new user logs on they get a BT configuration wizard that pops up and bothers them, which scares end-users

1 out of 5 eggsDon't bother for Windows 7

Pros: Small, inexpensive, works great with Windows XP, Leopard, and Snow Leopard.

Cons: Even though it is supposed to work with Windows 7 32-bit it does not. It loads all the necessary drivers but the option to allow devices to discover/connect remains grayed out.

Other Thoughts: Good thing it was cheap.
