Cons: Doesn't work on Gig!!!!!!

Pros: It's a network cable, it worked. The length was just as I ordered. I would buy these cables again (In fact, I have!)

Other Thoughts: I didn't want to write this in the cons section, because I actually really like the type of connector on these cables. They are made of very flexible plastic and are easy on the fingers to plug and unplug and make a distinct click when seated properly.

There was, however, a particular router that I was working with that required me to trim a bit of the plastic off (The part where you press with your finger to unplug the cable) so that it would seat properly in the jack.

Pros: -

Cons: cables defective out of the box. ordered 20. opened about a third of them, not one worked. did and RMA for replacement. replacement batch arrived and every one was bad. getting a refund and looking for an alternate vendor.

Other Thoughts: Ended up buying these after trying several different brands. Liked the construction, weight and ends on these as much as another cable that cost multiples more. Perhaps that company does quality control. The time I've wasted more than pays for the difference.

Cons: gigabit speed not achieved

Other Thoughts: I recently purchased a Netgear WNDR3700 router ... so I thought I should also upgrade my mix match of different colors CAT5E cables to CAT6 of all the same color. I bought 4x7ft, 1x3ft, and 1x20ft set of cables.

With my old CAT5E cables shows my PCs connected as 1 Gbps just fine ... but these Bytecc cables only shows my PCs connected as 100 Mpbs. I tried all the cables I bought .. same thing. And on one of my laptop I only get 10 Mpbs!

Since I was in a rush to use these I opened them all and threw away all the packaging ... which is now all covered with garbage ... so I can't even return these.

Pros: Looks and feels High Quality.
Cheap.
Black.
Works. :)

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: Thicker them my other Cat5 cables which is a plus.
