5 out of 5 eggsBytecc Cat6 cable

Pros: Works with my Gigabit switch with 125 Megabyte/s large file transfers.
The tab cover works fine. Its certainly better than using standard crimped ends with no tab cover.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: I paid 3 dollars per 20 foot cable, so it was very cheap. Probably 30 seconds after I placed my order it was changed. Would certainly buy more for 3 dollars apiece.

1 out of 5 eggsCAT6? I don't think so

Pros: Black

Cons: - gigabit speed not achieved

Other Thoughts: I recently purchased a Netgear WNDR3700 router ... so I thought I should also upgrade my mix match of different colors CAT5E cables to CAT6 of all the same color. I bought 4x7ft, 1x3ft, and 1x20ft set of cables.

With my old CAT5E cables shows my PCs connected as 1 Gbps just fine ... but these Bytecc cables only shows my PCs connected as 100 Mpbs. I tried all the cables I bought .. same thing. And on one of my laptop I only get 10 Mpbs!

Since I was in a rush to use these I opened them all and threw away all the packaging ... which is now all covered with garbage ... so I can't even return these.

5 out of 5 eggsBest one yet

Pros: Twenty Feet of cat6 cable for $5, better and cheaper then cat5 local department store cable! Anti snag shield to prevent the clip from tearing off.

Cons: none so far

Other Thoughts: I don't know why some people think the anti snag shield on the end is a con. I really think it is a pro because almost every cable I have had in the past the end clip breaks because of storage of the cord, plugging the cable in or the kids playing with it.
True the shield is a hard piece of plastic but it wouldn't work if it wasn't.

3 out of 5 eggs

Pros: It's an affordable black CAT6 cable

Cons: The thick and too long anti-snag piece drives me nuts on these cables. I had to cut them off because I couldn't easily unhook the cable without putting a lot of stress on the ethernet port it was in.

Other Thoughts: My Marvell Yukon ethernet adapter doesn't like auto-negotiating to gigabit over this cable but Realtek 8112L works fine with them. I'm blaming this on the lame Marvell Yukon rather than the cable.
