Pros: Worked for a while. Still works if you can find the right angle and don't breathe on it.

Cons: Flimsy construction. Stopped working after 6 months.

Other Thoughts: I bought this to charge my phone at night: one plug/unplug cycle per day. The micro USB end frayed after 6 months, causing the connection to become increasingly erratic. After waking to find that my phone hadn't been charging all night, I replaced it.

You get what you pay for.

Cons: It's really short. 12 inches, I thought they were joking. No gold connectors.

Pros: The cable is sturdy and works perfectly well with my Toshiba external USB-powered hard drive.

Cons: The plastic cover on the hard drive side of the cable is a little bigger than the slot on my hard drive. The actual USB end fits in fine, but the plastic makes it not quite fit into the drive. That's the drive's fault, not the cable's.

Pros: This is my second order of these cables and they came just as expected: the perfect length for portable hard drives and the only ones that can power all of the drive enclosures that I can throw at it. No more Y-cable nonsense. If you want less clutter and the guarantee that you won't need to guess if your drive will spin up: these cables do both.

Other Thoughts: Keep in mind that 1 ft. is pretty short, but if you are trying to avoid external wire clutter, this cable is an excellent choice.
