4 out of 5 eggsNice.

This review is from: BYTECC C6E-1000B 1000 ft. Cat 6 Blue Bulk Cable

Pros: Cable feeds out of the box without issue. This cabling also has yet to kink on me. I'd recommend for in-wall non-business use.

Cons: None yet.

Other Thoughts: At the recommendation of the other reviewers I thoroughly taped both sides of the box. My longest run yet, 150ft, which passes by a handful of florescent lights and their in-wall power cords with a ping time of <1ms and with auto-negotiated speeds of 1Gbps.

1 out of 5 eggsBEWARE - Not for use in-wall

This review is from: BYTECC C6E-1000B 1000 ft. Cat 6 Blue Bulk Cable

Pros: Inexpensive.

Cons: Note: This wire has no rating for use inside of a wall. It must pass flame tests by UL or ETL and be rated CM for most resi applications and CMR for commercial. I checked the manufacturer website and no mention of these ratings. Also, it is extremely unlikely that it is performance rated by both UL and ETL. I'd guess those ratings are fraudulent as well. BUYER BEWARE.

Other Thoughts: I do know what I'm doing and work in the wire industry.

5 out of 5 eggsNew house - New network

This review is from: BYTECC C6E-1000B 1000 ft. Cat 6 Blue Bulk Cable

Pros: Rigid, high quality cable
Works excellent for permanent runs
Easy (enough) to work with

Cons: Uhm.....The box needs some packing tape run around it to keep it intact when pulling cable....I guess thats a con

Other Thoughts: Bought this to setup a new network in a new house that we are having built to replace one destroyed in a fire. It is working excellent so far, runs all test good (no networking equipment in the house yet....just patch cables and wall plates).

It is rigid, which is not a problem in my opinion for any use, except maybe small patch cables, but even there it is not un-bearably rigid. Ideal for my use.

5 out of 5 eggsWorks great.

This review is from: BYTECC C6E-1000B 1000 ft. Cat 6 Blue Bulk Cable

Pros: This is the type cable you would want to run in your walls, where flexibility of the cable is not as important as a good signal.
People wanting this to be stranded are not buying the right product, stranded is for smaller patch cables, not for in wall applications.

Cons: The box needs a tape job, before you start pulling cable from it, mine came apart a tad too easy

Other Thoughts: Great for wiring up the house, as more and more things become ethernet aware

4 out of 5 eggsuses

This review is from: BYTECC C6E-1000B 1000 ft. Cat 6 Blue Bulk Cable

Pros: This is solid copper wire meant for running through walls, etc. This is to ensure that a quality signal can travel the full length of 300ft or so. If you're installing a wired network for your home or office, this is what you need.

Cons: It is stiff. Unfortunately not shielded, so be careful running multiple cables alongside each other as crosstalk will degrade signal quality. And avoid tight turns.

Other Thoughts: If you just need patch cable, stranded copper wire is more flexible. However, your signal won't go as far. This is especially true of Gigabit ethernet.

4 out of 5 eggsStiff cable

This review is from: BYTECC C6E-1000B 1000 ft. Cat 6 Blue Bulk Cable

Pros: 1000ft of cable for a pretty decent price.

Cons: Box was pretty mangled when I received it.
This stuff is pretty stiff so making patch cable is not going to be fun. This stuff is pretty hard to use with modular plugs.

Other Thoughts: I bought 5 boxes of this from Newegg to wire our new building. Newegg should start selling 1000ft stranded cable. The solid stuff is good for patch panel to keystone jack but not from keystone jack to computer, it's just too stiff to work with.

4 out of 5 eggsSeems to be Fine

This review is from: BYTECC C6E-1000B 1000 ft. Cat 6 Blue Bulk Cable

Pros: Exactly what you'd expect from cat6 cable--individually twisted pairs separated from each other by a plus-shaped plastic core. Just make sure you get the actual 2 piece plugs, trying to get it to work with old RJ-45 connectors is a nightmare.

Cons: Box is a bit flimsy and wants to fall apart as cable is pulled out. A bit of tape fixed the problem for me.

3 out of 5 eggsBYTECC C6E-1000B 1000 ft. Cat 6 Blue Bulk Cable

This review is from: BYTECC C6E-1000B 1000 ft. Cat 6 Blue Bulk Cable

Pros: This cable works well for my appication. It is more rigid than other cables I have used in the past wich is good for use with RJ45 connectors but not as good for wall jacks.

Cons: As stated, it is more rigid than other cables so it works will with RJ45 connectors but not as good for wall jacks. The box was pretty beat up when it arrived. I attribute that to UPS.

Other Thoughts: If you're looking for a great cable to use for making patch cables that this is it. If your looking to do a lot for work with wall jacks there are better alternatives to this cable.
