5 out of 5 eggsNo Problems

Pros: Works out of the box. Comes complete.

Cons: None.

Other Thoughts: After reading the other reviews I thought there may be a fitment issue. There were no problems what so ever. Fit my Rosewill eSata card and my WD External without any troubles.

1 out of 5 eggsDOA out of the box

Pros: Pretty Red color

Cons: Didn't work

Other Thoughts: After loosing about an hour of my existance diagnosing why my drive wouldn't work, I figured out that it was DOA. Not even worth my extra effort to send it back for refund unfortunately

3 out of 5 eggsWorks, but needed a little shave

Pros: Nice and cheap. Works fine once you get it to interface positively with your eSATA device.

Cons: I had to trim some plastic to get it to bottom out in my eSATA drive. I don't know if this is a standards problem or what, as it seems to be very common with these cables, but still, you shouldn't need to trim any plastic off you cables to make them work.

Other Thoughts: Annoying as it is, trimming these things is not a big deal. Just take an X-Acto and make four cuts in the black rubbery plastic part between the metal plug and the red cable, about 1mm up from where the metal vanishes into it. Push down on the blade and rock it gently into the plastic until you feel it strike the metal beneath. Repeat on the other three sides, then peel the rubber off with your fingernails to expose an extra 1mm of plug. Takes about 30 seconds.
