DVI-D cable is a dual-link, DVI-D to DVI-D digital video monitor cable. Unlike single-link DVI cables, dual-links feature a full set of pins for increased bandwidth, allowing you to view higher resolutions at longer distances without loss or interference.

Most digital displays like LCD, Plasma, HDTV televisions and most computer video cards (also newest DVD players) are compatible with the all-digital standard of DVI. The DVI-D dual-link cable will provide the best quality images from your digital source, and if you are using High-bandwidth Digital Content Protection hardware, the DVI cables will negotiate the HDCP protocol for copy-protected media.

5 out of 5 eggsNice Picture for Blu-Ray

This review is from: BYTECC DVI-D25 25feet M-M DVI-D Dual-Link Digital Cable w/Ferrites

Pros: I am getting a great picture on my 1920 x 1080 screen with this cord.

Cons: None.

Other Thoughts: I originally bought a 25' VGA cord so that I could watch movies on my computer in my bedroom. It worked great as long as they were streaming off the internet, except that it is not compatible with my computer's Blu-Ray Player, which I found out needs the DVI cord to work.

5 out of 5 eggs

This review is from: BYTECC DVI-D25 25feet M-M DVI-D Dual-Link Digital Cable w/Ferrites

Pros: Long! (and dual-link)

Cons: Long cable + splitter = signal problems. Works fine on it's own though.

5 out of 5 eggs2nd pair, great cables

This review is from: BYTECC DVI-D25 25feet M-M DVI-D Dual-Link Digital Cable w/Ferrites

Pros: I've posted before. Just bought two more of these to signal the same 30" monitor @ 2560x1600 and a 24" Dell @ 1920 x 1200. They look perfect, no ghosting or anything so far. I've done some preliminary testing to try and cause artifacts and there are none.

That makes four of these total, all have been great.

Cons: None with this pair.

Other Thoughts: It seems like these are pretty solid cables in general. Solid build, heavy duty, etc.

This is my go-to for 25' dual link DVI, for sure!

4 out of 5 eggsGreat so far! Great Value

This review is from: BYTECC DVI-D25 25feet M-M DVI-D Dual-Link Digital Cable w/Ferrites

Pros: - Excellent value.
- Runs my 30" Dell @ 2560x1600 beautifully.
- using 2 of these
- Seems to be a solid cable.

Cons: - Sometimes when viewing a website with high contrast (black text on white background), I see a very faint ghost of of the edges of the text. This is very minor, and I don't see this in any other situations.

Other Thoughts: I needed these to put my video editing workstation in another room (for noise), and I've been totally happy with their color reproduction and sharpness. Except for the minor and infrequent issue listed above, it performs just as well as my shorter DVI cables used to previously connect.

I would have returned these and gone a much more active, expensive route, but I just didn't need to. I've bought 2, and I'm buying 2 more today.

Also, more cable length means more power needed to push the signal, but as long as the video card is decent it should be fine.

1 out of 5 eggsLousy

This review is from: BYTECC DVI-D25 25feet M-M DVI-D Dual-Link Digital Cable w/Ferrites

Pros: N/A

Cons: I bought three of these cables and they were all defective and made flickering lines appear across my monitors. Switching to a different brand fixed the problem.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Cable

This review is from: BYTECC DVI-D25 25feet M-M DVI-D Dual-Link Digital Cable w/Ferrites

Pros: Great Bang for the buck using this on a monitor and am getting full 1080p using this from gts 450 to semisonic lcd/led monitor. This cable is twice as expensive on competitors website

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: For the price and length of cable this was a no brainier.

5 out of 5 eggs

This review is from: BYTECC DVI-D25 25feet M-M DVI-D Dual-Link Digital Cable w/Ferrites

Pros: - Good price and 25ft long!
- Very thick cable and seems to be of excellent quality
- Installed 2 months ago and not a single problem

Cons: - Only a small gripe...the signal chokes at the end of the cable (Those plastic round things right before the plug) are really fat.....so thick in fact that I could not put the cable through the cable management slot on my Ultrasharp monitors. No big deal and it only makes sense that they would be that big with the length of the cable.

Other Thoughts: Bought two of these to go between my rackmount cabinet and my desk. Been awesome and I will be buying two more in the future.
