Pros: It was the right product.

Cons: If your using this for old DV Camcorders and your computer won't recognize your device, first make sure your firewire port is set to legacy (google how to do this if your not sure but it is in device manager), if this doesn't solve your problem don't spend hours troubleshooting drivers and contemplating installing a windows xp partion on your computer to make firewire work. It will work with windows 7 64-bit and as I found out its the cable that caused the issue...

I found this out by going to my local computer store and buying another cable and the DV camcorder was recognized immediately.

Oh and Newegg wants me to pay the shipping cost to return a defective product to them... I don't think so.

Pros: Works fine connecting my Panasonic HVX HD camera to my Mac Pro, transferring video with Final Cut Pro. Seems well constructed with solid connectors.

Cons: None

Pros: Its a cable. It works. This cable is kind of pricey, but good luck finding it anywhere else.

Cons: I guess the fact that I dropped 10 bucks on a cable is kind of stupid.
