Other Thoughts: When I damaged my old Y cable for my external hard drive, I was worried that finding a new one might be difficult and I wanted to run it "the right way" since my laptop USB ports are a little underpowered. Luckily for me, my hard drive runs off one usb just fine because this cord didn't work even right from the beginning. I can feel my hard drive whirring away but it never shows up. If I were you, I'd try to run any device you've got on one USB before you buy this one, especially if you've got one lying around. If it works, don't bother.

Pros: Connectors are snug.

I use it as a spare for a USB monitor that requires a dual cable for adequate power and this one delivers just that.

Pros: Snug fit connector, good size cable. Main 24ga cable that splits in to 28ga.

Bought it to get extra power to my external USB drive.

Shipping was slow, but I got the slow one. I knew this. $1.99 shipping which is advertised as 5 - 7 business days. I got it on the 7th.. Which is within the timeframe..

Pros: Perfect way to use a short cable and extra power.

Other Thoughts: Newegg is coming up with some great USB cables.
