Pros: Sounded good!

In theory, this cable allows you to connect older printers with parallel cables to newer motherboards that don't have parallel connecters. It converts Parallel to USB.

Cons: It didn't work.

I tried different drivers, un-installed and re-installed the printer numerous times, used different USB ports, tried multiple sequences of turning the printer on and connecting the USB.

No luck

Other Thoughts: I just purchased a PCI card with a parallel interface, it should arrive in a day or two. I RMA'd the cable.

Pros: Hooked it up and, using Vista, the printer was immediatly ready for use. Works just as it did with LPT connection. used with HP 1220c printer.
