4 out of 5 eggsChep quality But works

Pros: It works! Gives great picture and audio

Cons: If you take care of your electronics like I do you shouldn't have any issues. But they are built very cheaply. I have never unplugged mine from my gpu but the case is already separating from the chip from the weight of my big HDMI cable and unplugging the HDMI cable everytime I want to switch audio between monitors

Other Thoughts: If you will be moving this and unplugging it a lot maybe go with one of high quality but for me it provides full HD with audio and still works after 1 year

1 out of 5 eggsFlawed product

Pros: Had no problems with audio or video. Picture on my 47" LG TV was near perfect. And audio clear with no static or interference. Loved this adapter until it was time to remove it.

Cons: I used this adapter exactly one time before it broke. When it came time to remove it from my laptop it was stuck. Spent 30 minutes trying to remove it and it finally came out with only the plastic casing. The rest was still stuck in the laptop. The quality of the casing is cheap and the release button flimsy. I don't recommend this product at all.

4 out of 5 eggsUPDATE: Much Better Than I Thought

Pros: Inexpensive. Video out works just fine, same for audio.

Cons: Flimsy. I have a feeling I could break this really easily, but I do my best not to break the stuff I use on a day-to-day basis.

Other Thoughts: This is a re-review from my last time reviewing this. After using it for a while, I figured out that many of the problems from my last review were actually awful drivers on the part of my manufacturer: the video display was encountering glitches at 1920x1080 (1080p resolution) due to the NVIDIA graphics driver at the time, and the audio problem was due to an outdated sound card driver. Both have since been corrected and everything works much better.

5 out of 5 eggsWorks Perfect

Pros: Works just as supposed to. Nothing wrong at all.

Cons: None at all

Other Thoughts: I have no idea what was going on with the people that rated this with such low ratings and bad reviews. I can only imagine they got a bad batch because meritline has this same product with so much better reviews, and the fact my mine works perfect.

2 out of 5 eggsBreaks Easily

Pros: Works well as an adapter; would definitely suffice in a static conversion situation.

Cons: If you're using it in an area where there's any sort of movement, the hard plastic case prevents any flexibility whatsoever, and it will break. As others have mentioned, the display port will stay in the computer, and the plastic casing with HDMI will come out.

1 out of 5 eggsPlease don't buy this product

Pros: None

Cons: Can be broken easily. Cheap material.

Other Thoughts: After I plugged it in to the DisplayPort of my Dell lcd monitor I couldn't remove it. It took me almost 2 hours to finally remove it. While I was removing it the DisplayPort male head was stucked in my monitor. Very disappointing and the material is so cheap. This is a total waste of money.

1 out of 5 eggsTry Another One

Pros: Video signal makes it through.

Cons: The video quality is fairly messed up; the audio doesn't work natively under Windows (it worked just fine on Linux with a little hacking).

Other Thoughts: If you're serious about your electronics, try a different converter. (Tested on a Lenovo ThinkPad T410 w/ NVIDIA NVS 3100m graphics. Windows 7 and Arch Linux w/ kernel version 2.6.36 tested.)

3 out of 5 eggsWorks until it breaks...

Pros: Works well when it works. Used for 1080p, no problem with videos or gaming.

Cons: The remove plastic push button is of low quality and caused mine to break, with the display port adapter stuck in the computer, and the adapter in my hand.

Other Thoughts: It broke! Use carefully, tends to 'stick' in the slot too good.

3 out of 5 eggseyefinity

Pros: ?

Cons: ?

Other Thoughts: This adapter will work with eyefinity cards if you only have two monitors attached that are either DVI or HDMI. If you want more than two DVI or HDMI monitors then you must get an active adaptor that will provide another timeing signal. Active adaptors are much more expensive.
