1 out of 5 eggsNO good

Pros: None really, Nice packaging|?

Cons: Opened package plugged in, messed with setting on one screen trying to get the one with the adapter to work with no success. Just a black screen.

Other Thoughts: Better off going with a slightly more expensive product,

3 out of 5 eggsnot "active" adapter

Pros: showed up 2 days after i orderd it with just regular shipping an seems pretty sturdy.

Cons: will not work for eyefinity because its not an "active" adapter. i should have read more when purchasing it for some reason i thought it was an active adapter when i purchased it offline.

5 out of 5 eggsDoes the job for cheap

Pros: I had been running dual-screens off of a laptop: The actual laptop screen, and an external monitor via a VGA connection. I wanted to run 2 external monitors and not use the laptop display at all, so I bought this adapter to connect a 2nd external monitor to the Display Port on the laptop. It works flawlessly. I didn't even have to do any setup. Plugged it into my laptop and ran a DVI cable to the 2nd monitor. Started up the laptop and it automatically sent video to both external screens. I didn't even have to adjust the resolution even though the 2 monitors have different resolutions. Great price and fast shipping too. Go Newegg!

Cons: None.

Other Thoughts: Be aware that this is a passive adapter, not an active adapter. Passive adapters are good for 2 screens, but if you want to run 3, you'll need an active adapter.

I only needed two, but do some research on your video card if you want three screens... you'll most likely need an active adapter.

5 out of 5 eggsGood adapter for the price

Pros: It does exactly what it is supposed to do. This adapter is for those who want to use display port on their PC/laptop to connect to DVI port of the monitor (not vice-versa). It is not a powered adapter and it doesn't claim to be. It works perfectly fine for my one monitor setup. The display port end fits very well in my laptop's display port. It is relatively new, so I don't know how long it will last, but I don't see any reason not to last long.

Cons: The DVI side of this adapter feels little cheap. But it reduces the weight too.

5 out of 5 eggsAwesome

Pros: Works perfectly. Computer detected it right away and I'm now running a dual monitor setup. I have a monitor on VGA and one from display port to DVI. Length is long enough to have room to plug in a DVI cable.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: Awesome buy. Wouldn't hesitate to buy this again if I needed one.

5 out of 5 eggsVery Solid and Lasts

Pros: Works very well on my Lenovo T510 laptop. I use it at work, keeping the DVI side secured into my 1080p monitor's cord. Every morning I plug it into my laptop's DisplayPort port, and every evening I take it out. Been doing this for over a year, and it's lasted. Connection is always solid; does not wiggle throughout the day.

Cons: It could be an inch longer, but that's just for my own setup. Still works rather well at the length it is.

5 out of 5 eggsNot Powered

Pros: Non powered cable works fine, cheap.

Cons: Not powered, most computers need a powered version for a 3 monitor display setup.

Other Thoughts: Wanted to run 3 monitors using 2 Displayports and 1 VGA with adapter. Didn't work, I have recently been told that a powered version of this adapter is needed. Great cable for the price if you don't' need this configuration.

4 out of 5 eggsNOT an "Active" DisplayPort Adapter

Pros: It works only if your video card supports this "Passive" Adapter.

Cons: The product spec did not clearly state this is a Passive Adapter.

Other Thoughts: Be sure to know what your video card supports before buying a DisplayPort Adapter. Google on this subject to familiarize yourself first.
