BYTECC BTA-30 HDMI Female & DVI-D(Dual link) Female with Nuts to HDMI Male Adaptor

Pros: Works as intended, allowed me to connect my 20" Apple Cinema display's male DVI connector to the HDMI connection of my laptop.

Cons: The female DVI/HDMI connection of the product is large and bulky.

Pros: It looks nice.

Cons: Absolutely Garbage. It is so cheap that only the HDMI output works when nothing is plugged into the dvi output.... If you plug a monitor into the dvi output then both the dvi and hdmi output go blank. This product does not work at all and is not even worth paying the shipping to return it.

Other Thoughts: Go figure... NewEgg put it on sale. lol

Pros: Quality cable and connector quality is high.

Cons: After connecting this cable I noticed it was loosing data on my monitor so I put it on a cable tester and scope. HDMI does not carry a clean signal at better than 1080i due to what appears to be a simple design flaw.

Other Thoughts: The cable splits between the HDMI and DVI connectors which might be causing the signal degradation. This is an unfortunate design flaw for anyone who wants to use this on a computer monitor over 1080 width and possibly lower.

Pros: I have an old Plasma TV that came out before HDMI. It had DVI only. With this adapter I was able to connect my TV to my Apple TV's HDMI port. I of course ran a separate optical audio cable for audio. This adapter is great because of the DVI's gender and the fact that the HDMI connection is on a cable. A standard converter (without a cable) would have been too tight to fit into the back of my Apple TV alongside all of the other cables. The picture quality is also perfect!
