5 out of 5 eggsTrue 15 pin VGA Cable

Pros: Good solid cable
Heavy duty, about twice the diameter of a regular monitor cable but still flexible enough

Cons: Female end lacks nuts for the ferrites on the connecting male end to screw into but the connections are still solid

Other Thoughts: I moved my monitor to the other side of my desk and needed an extension. I haven't noticed any change in the display of my monitor since connecting this cable. When browsing thru the different cables available I noiced a few reviews of VGA extension cables that mentioned a ghosting effect but there is none with this cable.

Something else I like is there are 15 pins in the male end of this cable. I also noticed in my browsing that some extension cables only had 14 pins on the male end and couldn't figure out why. I mean, if the female end is designed for 15 pins wouldn't one want to plug in a connection with the proper # of pins? So why would they make 14 pins connectors for a 15 pins receptacle. Could be I'm picky but I don't understand and thought that might cause a reduction in the transfer of signals or something.

Regardless, I am very satisfied with this cable. It gave me the extra length I needed without any drop in display quality.
