A good deal, but not perfect
Pros: Great price, provides both splitter and Cat5 extender functionality
Cons: Doesn't pass through monitor model/resolution info. Also ghosting at high resolutions.
Other Thoughts: You shouldn't expect the world for this price (under $50 for more than 1 at a time as of March 2013). There is significant ghosting at high resolutions, even when using high-quality video cables and even on the local output (the remote output can even appear to be better than the local output because there are skew and gain adjustments for the remote output). I'm not too picky on image quality, but if you work with image editing or small text, forget it. Worse, though for me, is that EDID/DDC monitor information isn't passed through. At best, your computer will assume only generic least common denominator resolutions are available. At worst, your computer won't even recognized there's a monitor connected. If you don't mind bypassing the extender every time you boot, then it's not a problem I guess.
