This Extender use 2 pieces of CAT-5e/6 cables to extend the HDTV display up to 60 meters for 1080p. It not only breaks the limitation of the HDMI cable transmission length, but also CAT-5e/6 has more flexibility and convenience in cable construction.

The extender supports 165MHz/1.65Gbps per channel (4.95Gbps all channels) bandwidth and 8bit per channel (24bit all channel) deep color.

Courtney W. 9/2/2011 7:36:05 AM Ownership: 2/5 Verified Owner	Rating: 4/5Great For Media Center; No HD Gaming This review is from: BYTECC HM-E60 HDMI 1080P Extender Using Cat5e/CAT6 Cable Extending Up to 196 FT (60M) Pros: Full 1080p video + 7.1 surround makes it through great and in sync. Cons: I would not recommend using this for HD Gaming. I have tried with both my PS3 and PC and experience 50-60ms extra latency. If I set the PC to 720p instead of 1080, the extra latency drops to a more tolerable level. The latency caused by this extender may just be the straw that broke the camel's back, though, as I'm sure my receiver and TV already add a bit of latency.
